There are additional items I would like to point out about the rankings for this particular class. Player stats play a significant role early in the rankings as does the fact that athletes have claimed profiles. Only a couple of athletes in this class have college offers, so that plays a larger factor down the road.

Prep Redzone scouts will provide multiple reports this week on the Class of 2027 and we will begin working on updating the Class of 2028 which will also be updated and published this month.

This first report features five stock risers in this edition of the rankings. Each athlete was previously ranked but has moved into the Top 25 for the first time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1354313' first='Davon' last='Morrison'], ATH, 5'9”, 155, Derby ‘27

Ranked No. 20 overall after previously being ranked No. 43 overall. Morrison is a quick back playing in a program well known for producing college-level athletes. He rushed for 332 yards on 33 carries and scored three touchdowns. The Panthers always produce strong offensive numbers. If Morrison stays healthy he will have plenty of opportunities to show off his skills and produce impressive numbers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1307966' first='Kai' last='Kirchhoff-Jones'], RB/DB, 5'10”, 180, Rose Hill, ‘27

The Rose Hill prospect is now ranked No. 21 overall after being ranked No. 46 overall. He played on both sides of the ball for the Rockets as a sophomore. He carried the ball 39 times for 229 yards and three touchdowns. He has good hands and is a threat in the passing games out of the backfield. He made three catches, each of them for a touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, he recorded 64 tackles, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

[player_tooltip player_id='1113129' first='Logan' last='Fulton'], QB, 6'0”, 200, Wamego, ‘27

Fulton jumped up almost 40 spots from No. 61 overall to No. 22. Fulton is one of the top quarterback prospects in the Sunflower State's Class of 2027. He threw for 1,746 yards and 19 touchdowns during his sophomore campaign. I have seen him compete twice in person and was impressed with his arm strength and the ability to find open receivers.

[player_tooltip player_id='934979' first='Pete' last='Dorsey'], QB, 6'1”, 170, Wellsville, ‘27

Dorsey is ranked No. 23 overall after previously being ranked No. 62. He threw for 890 yards and nine touchdowns in 10 games as a sophomore. He also rushed for 414 yards and nine touchdowns for the Eagles. Wellsville is a small school program winning games and helping prospects get chances to play at the collegiate level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1248293' first='Dahzael' last='Castillo'], OL, 5'8”, 210, Oxford, ‘27

Castillo was ranked No. 40 but moved up to No. 24 in this update. He was one of the few “Big Men” who climbed the rankings ladder. He collected 38 total tackles in nine games for the Wildcats. He also recorded 3.5 quarterback sacks and four tackles for lost yardage. Castillo gets off the ball quickly and plays with excellent pad level. He also wrestles for Oxford and his strength and power make him dangerous in both sports.
