Queen City Air Raid 7v7 Tournament Eye-Catchers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This past weekend we had the opportunity to watch some amazingly talented skilled 7 on 7 players from Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Boy did these teams deliver on the big stage; every time you turn your head from the 10U all the way up to the 18U it seemed like there was a big play being made. Everyone that participated should get a round of applause for a great performance. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These six high school prospects seemed to catch my eye this past weekend. So, I was already familiar with his game, some receivers have a trait where they just know how to get open. This junior definitely possesses that trait, all weekend long he gave defensive backs fits. His movements are so effortless he has the ability of running the complete route tree from short, intermediate, and long. Usually operating in the slot, Easley quickly made his presence felt from the first game to his last game. His route running is top-notch, he's a twitchy type of wide receiver. Showcasing exceptional start-stop route running Easley made a name for himself last weekend. What surprised me was his ability to take the top off of the defense. One rep Easley ran a wheel route to absolute perfection and worked right behind the safety in the corner for the TD, it was a sight to see. This past weekend Thompson played outstanding, sometimes it's hard for defensive players to get some shine playing 7on7, but Thompson showed out. He played exceptional zone coverage all weekend long, you can tell he's a naturally physical player he wasn't afraid to get his hands on anyone. He limited a lot of yards after the catch opportunities for opposing teams because he reacts so quickly. He can put the ball wherever he wants to put the ball, his accuracy was so impressive to watch. The most impressive trait coon possesses in my opinion is his command of an offense. He's a field general through and through, his interactions with his teammates were phenomenal, and he never put his players in a bad situation. For the 2025 season, Brown is playing for the Kickapoo Chiefs, and I am excited to see what he brings to that offense. He's a long-striding route runner who can cover ground in the blink of an eye. I believe he's just starting to put it all together and the progress he showed last weekend makes me excited about what else he's capable of. He showcased the ability to run some crisp routes, while also having multiple really good run after catch reps. I must admit I wasn't aware of Will Vernor before watching him this past weekend and he's making me pay for my negligence.
