This Memphis area edge rusher was an absolute force throughout the entire 2024 season where Iroh constantly played in the opposition's backfield and caused havoc on quarterbacks. The Dragons senior defensive talent had a highly productive year as he produced 54 total tackles with 31 of them for loss, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 passes defended and a 6A leading, 21 sacks on the year. His performance last Fall definitely boosted his stock as Iroh eventually signed with ETSU, where he will have a chance to develop and display his abilities on the FCS level.

The impact Miller had on his Mustangs team from both sides of the ball was critical in their 6A title appearance, especially on offense where he had 53 receptions for 1,166 yards and 13 touchdowns. Miller was an absolute game changer for the Mustangs offense last Fall as opposing defensive backs had a hard time keeping him front. His speed and ability to make tough catches proved to be a difference maker for Houston and a big factor behind their deep playoff run. Miller will start his college career on the JuCo level at Hinds Community College but don't be surprised if one day you see this Memphis area receiver playing on the D1 level.

On the other side from Iroh was this Collierville edge rusher that equally produced a highly productive senior year that gave the Dragons the best pass rushing duo in the state for the 2024 season. Euell was nearly unblockable last Fall where he generated 92 total tackles with 38 of them for loss, 3 forced fumbles, 4 passes defended and 18 sacks on the year. It was a breakout season for Euell and a performance that helped lead Collierville to another region title and a solid run into the playoffs.

The Cavs put together a strong showing throughout the 2024 season with their offense being a key catalyst behind their success. Hoane was a linchpin up front that had a dominating junior year where he did not allow one sack on the season while consistently opening up holes for the Cavs run game. This rising senior O-lineman is considered one of the best at his position for the #TN2026 class with his junior campaign being a blueprint as to why many D1 and Power level college programs are interested and in pursuit.

Coach of the Year

Kevin Creasy - Oakland

- The Patriots walked out of Chattanooga last Fall again as 6A champs and the 2024 season might have been the best coaching job yet from Creasy and his Oakland coaching staff. Sporting a squad with a few top guys and a bunch of unknowns, Coach Creasy found the right recipe and grouping of players to put forth another dominating season that ended with a region and state championship. The Pats offense was efficient and explosive, especially with their run game while the defense was solid in the front seven but spectacular in the secondary. The 2024 team was a gritty bunch of guys that did their job with discipline and a lot of that was due to their play but also the coaching job by Creasy and his staff.

Positional MVP's (Class 6A)

QB MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='816017' first='Chandler' last='Day'] - Houston: One of the best pure quarterback leaders from the Volunteer State is Day and his senior season was another stellar year that saw him lead his Mustangs team back to the 6A title game. He was quite productive too, throwing for 1,956 yards with 25 touchdowns through the air along with rushing for 534 yards on the ground and 10 more scores.

RB MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='848834' first='Skylar' last='Thomas'] - Jefferson Co.: We had several good options for RB MVP but the lone ball carrier to run for over 2K from the 6A classification last Fall had to be the guy! Thomas had a tremendous senior season where he ran for 2,129 yards on 309 carries and 17 rushing scores. His play was key in the Patriots 6-5 winning season and playoff appearance.

WR MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='1129813' first='Lucas' last='Young'] - Franklin: It was a tough call for our receiver MVP but in the end, the impact Young had with his Admirals team was too great to overlook. Throughout his senior season, Young became the offense's go-to receiver as he produced 39 receptions for 781 yards and 11 touchdowns on the year while averaging 20.3 yards per catch.

OL MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='504236' first='Nic' last='Moore'] - Jefferson Co.: Moore has been a dominating force up front for his Patriots squad with his senior campaign being possibly his best yet. This future SEC O-lineman was a pillar in the trenches that helped the Patriots have one of the better rushing units on the 6A level along with paving the way for Thomas to run wild.

DL MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='1258053' first='Christian' last='Wilson'] - Jefferson Co.: The Pats two-way lineman had a monster junior season, especially on the defensive side of the ball where he generated 99 total tackles with 28 of them for loss with 15 quarterback hurries and 9 sacks on the season. His play definitely boosted his stock to become a potential college guy down the road.

LB MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='842802' first='Baylor' last='Necessary'] - Science Hill: All this guy does is make tackles and for his senior year, Necessary was yet again highly productive where he produced 130 overall tackles with 21 of them for loss, 4 passes defended, 2 interceptions and 4 sacks. The Hilltoppers backer was one of the more underrated prospects in the #TN2025 class that will now be making tackles in college at VMI.

DB MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='1518156' first='Chase' last='Bandy'] - Oakland: Nobody could throw into Bandy's location last Fall, otherwise he would make the tackle or pick it off. The Patriots senior defender had a sensational senior season where he had 48 tackles on the year along with 1 forced fumble, 3 passes defended and 7 interceptions.
