An unreal performance put forth by one of the best freshman wideout prospects Pennsylvania has to offer. Bishop McDevitt's [player_tooltip player_id='959751' first='Howard' last='Holton Jr.'] took home WR MVP honors, while also being labeled the overall camp MVP. The best player in attendance, bar none. As you can tell by his debut ranking released prior to this Fall season, this shouldn't be too surprising to anyone.

Speaking about his performance. Fantastic inside and outside leverage seller. Holton is twitchy and can explode and separate with any given step, Holton Jr. forced DBs to respect/honor initial movements at the LOS. This allowed Holton to toy with defenders with each passing rep. An ultimate route manipulator who had talented DBs on skates seemingly every time I looked up. Subtle footwork, head fakes, eye discipline, you name it, Holton Jr. was putting on a tech clinic. Holton had an answer for any alignment, post-snap leverage, and counter-move sent his way. No predictable releases, no telegraphing routes. Even if Holton did, this kid has a gear he can kick into to separate solely based on acceleration. Great shielder for someone weighing 150 pounds soaking wet. Doesn't let physical DBs get into his chest. Holton Jr. might be slight in frame, yet only the best DBs will have a shot at jamming him at the LOS. If you aren't able to annoy/disrupt Holton Jr.'s game plan after the snap, he's going to toy with you in 1v1 situations. This is exactly what he did in front of coaches this past weekend. Incredible to see such a young prospect be this far ahead in development. I don't see too many upperclassmen with this kind of leverage understanding.

Holton Jr. is already high on our ranks, I'm inclined to raise him even further.

I liked [player_tooltip player_id='1259447' first='Gage' last='Ruth'] as a Top Five performer, despite the fact he wasn't named one post-camp. Great hands catcher. Not too many body catches witnessed. Can track the ball in the air well, can extend away from his body to reel in balls feet away from where his numbers would be. You'd expect a 6'4, 185-pound wideout to have an extensive radius, Ruth proved that again at this event. Arguably my favorite takeaway from watching Gage work in person was his ability to not be deterred by defenders draped on his back. Running digs, posts, Ruth can focus and maintain a big window for QBs to throw into because of this size, all while staying athletic in the open field and reeling in footballs.

Yes, Ruth isn't a blazer, he isn't the most explosive wideout, yet he proved he can win against a variety of DBs thanks to his size, hand-eye coordination, and competitive drive alone.

Ruth is currently on our WL because of the lack of tape at the time of ranking. He will be back inside the Top 250 after our next update.

A favorite among WR and DB coaches watching 1v1s. [player_tooltip player_id='854370' first='Shaheed' last='Clement'] is more of your traditional corner. Clement shows off fluid hips that are well-oiled. Quick feet that keep him balanced throughout a backpedal. A smooth operator who has gone toe-to-toe with several elite wideouts and won, both in pads and at this camp. Great tracker of the football, Clement showed a ball awareness akin to a wide receiver, he displayed the ability to find the football on it's way down and make every catch/rep as difficult as possible. A pesky DB, one full of confidence. His work at prominent programs like Nuemann-Goretti and Bishop McDevitt has him seasoned enough to feel confident against any wideout in the state. High upside player, one who will see a boost in ranking after this performance.

A Power Four receiver if I've ever seen one. I fully understand that Bishop McDevitt's [player_tooltip player_id='521111' first='Jontai' last='Quick'] will have to prove his speed to Power Four coaches before they feel comfortable pulling the trigger. I still think this young man's tape alone warrants opportunities from the likes of G5s recruiting the mid-Penn area. Too special a talent to be un-offerred currently. This is more of a patience situation, Quick is going to get his in time. I'll stay on the gas to ensure he sees love sooner rather than later.

Talking Quick's performance at our event. I'd label Quick to be the best all-around pass-catcher that attended our event. What does that mean? [player_tooltip player_id='959751' first='Howard' last='Holton Jr.']'s performance certainly warranted overall camp MVP, yet after watching Quick with a close eye, I feel comfortable saying that he's the most equipped wideout prospect at this event.

Fantastic lateral release at the LOS, can avoid stabs and jams at the LOS with foot quickness alone. Attacks leverage with a purpose, Quick is an unreal accelerator and separator. The best hands of any wideout present. Great body control, great balance cutting inside and out. Can cut while being under control. Can run routes with tempo, can stop and start to throw DBs off in terms of timing. A sudden and twitchy wideout who fits the ideal FBS slot mold, this as a current sophomore. Can separate with clean cuts and acceleration, not a one-trick pony. Everything Quick displayed was crisp and clean, a sharp and intimidating route-runner that left DBs guessing all night. Was second in line to [player_tooltip player_id='959751' first='Howard' last='Holton Jr.'] for WR MVP. I'm a Quick believer, I'll see if I can raise his rank even further after this performance.

Archbishop Wood's [player_tooltip player_id='1180764' first='Isaiah' last='Moore'] took home DB MVP. Bishop McDevitt senior DB [player_tooltip player_id='1552440' first='Jaden' last='Garnes'] was next in line. Ultra physical with each passing rep, Garnes came to camp with a chip on his shoulder. Any wideout matching up with Garnes was going to feel his jam at the LOS, no matter the size or speed said wideout was working with.

Garnes, who already has offers from two JUCOs, as well as an offer from Seton Hill, first proved to be an intriguing DB based on his measurable alone. A good height in 5'11, a little light in the frame, yet 150-160 pounds isn't a make-or-break number for me. Garnes is going to win with physicality and hand-fighting. Fluidity/agility isn't necessarily his calling card, yet Garnes is going to ensure you feel him at multiple stages of a route. Early, Garnes was jamming/thwarting routes before they had a chance to develop. Late, Garnes fights through the hands and through the catch-point. Excited to see where he ends up playing college ball in the future.

I admittedly didn't get to see much of the highly-touted freshman back Jerome Larue. Larue went home earlier than expected due to injury, so his camp performance cannot be truly evaluated. That being said, LB and RB coaches raved about him during testing and individual drills, as well as my colleague covering RBs [player_tooltip player_id='1539423' first='Pat' last='Weider']. Watching Larue work against linebackers in a pass-catching drill gave those watching a clear indication that this is not your average athlete. Larue was still named a Top Five RB performer post-camp.
