Off-Season Work Sparks Orlando Evans

Off-Season Work Sparks Orlando Evans
If they are going to be a force in 2025, the off-season will once again be huge, but the maturity and talent of the rising senior (2026) class will also be a major factor.

Over the past few years there have been several teams in the central Florida area who have started to change the direction of their football program. One of those schools was Orlando Evans.

The Trojans and head coach Karlos Odum are no longer a secret after finishing 6-5 and advancing to the state playoffs this past season.

It's been a long while since this program has been a threat on the gridiron, but that is changing, and if you are looking for the reasons why, maybe checking what they are doing in the off-season could be the answer.

Team camps, combines, 7-on-7 and linemen events have included this program and that may be the recipe for a 2-1 District 4-6A finish and a first-round game on the road against power Gainesville Buchholz.

During a stretch in 2024, this team won five straight and average nearly 40 points. Even the first two losses of the season (Apopka, 6-0) and 4A state finalist Orlando Jones (28-21) were games that the Trojans could have won.

If they are going to be a force in 2025, the off-season will once again be huge, but the maturity and talent of the rising senior (2026) class will also be a major factor.

Here is a look at some of those 2026 prospects to watch:

Carl Jean Bart, WR, 6-1, 180 – 3.0 GPA.
