Monthly Check-In: Prospects Gaining Buzz Since Our Last Update

We've covered a ton of prospects over the last month- so we thought we'd do a check-in on some of them!   These guys have seen their recruitment open up a ton since we last talked about them- and by the looks of it, things are only going to keep going up for them.   As always, be sure to check out their film below!     [player_tooltip player_id='1452292' first='Aaron' last='Frye'] is a really skilled QB out of Clay Chalkville who has been super productive for his team's passing attack the last two seasons. Frye is a really talented passer who can make impressive throws all over the field, consistently finding ways to exploit defenses and move the chains. Frye has great technique- he sets his feet and has a natural throwing motion, and throws with a ton of accuracy- hitting his WRs in stride and placing the ball only where they can make plays on it. In addition to his arm talent, Frye is also really athletic and can make a lot of plays with his legs- he isn't the most elusive but is really mobile and great at bailing out of the pocket and picking up extra yards when pressure arrives. Frye was really productive this past season- completing 145/220 passes for 1979 yards and 12 touchdowns in the air, and 81 carries for 580 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground. Since our last article on him, Frye picked up his first offer from UT Martin! Frye is one of the top QBs in our 2026 Rankings for a reason, he's been terrific starting for Clay Chalkville and is set up for another big year this fall- just watch.      [player_tooltip player_id='1471293' first='Kena' last='Rego'] was one of the state's top WRs last fall, dominating every secondary he went up against and leading the state in several statistical categories. Rego is a complete wide receiver who thrives at every level of the field- he's excellent at running posts, corners, and fades deep downfield while also capable of turning shorter routes into huge explosive plays. At 6'0 175, Rego has great size, plays with a lot of speed, and runs some really precise routes- constantly finding ways to gain separation against a wide variety of DBs. Rego is terrific at hauling in passes and can make some really impressive catches along the sideline and through contact. Rego was unstoppable last fall- ending his junior season with 79 receptions for 1587 yards and 14 touchdowns. The last time we wrote about [player_tooltip player_id='1471293' first='Kena' last='Rego'], he had zero offers- but since then, Arkansas State reached out and sent one his way. I was super hyped up to see Rego post the tweet announcing the news, he's extremely deserving and should pick up more attention as he continues to dominate this offseason and next fall. Be sure to keep your eyes on him this next season, he's set to repeat much of the same dominant success he found last fall.      I've had eyes on [player_tooltip player_id='401099' first='Dylan' last='Cope'] for a few years now- he's been a key piece of Hewitt Trussville's passing attack since his freshman season and has been a top player in our 2026 Rankings since then as well. Cope is a dominant athlete with unreal speed- he's extremely talented in both track and football and has been a star athlete at Hewitt Trussville for the last few years. Cope is a tough-to-stop WR with how fast he is at his size- he presents serious matchup problems for opposing DBs. Cope is a great route runner, has a reliable set of hands, and can make a ton of huge catches all around the field. It's seriously impressive seeing how easy it is for him to stretch the field, he has incredible speed that will be a huge asset at the next level. Cope had another really productive season out wide for Hewitt Trussville, ending his junior year with 40 receptions for 504 yards and 5 touchdowns. Cope has been doing incredibly well in the recruiting world since our last update on him- he's picked up offers from Georgia, Ole Miss, South Alabama, and plenty of others. Every year I've become more impressed with Cope both as an athlete and as a football player- he's a rare talent who has a bright future ahead of him this next year and beyond.      [player_tooltip player_id='1552738' first='Nicholas' last='Hampton'] is a really talented pass catcher out of Gulf Shores who has really made a name for himself over the last year. At 6'3 215 Hampton physically outmatches a lot of the DBs he lines up against- he has great size, speed, and strength he uses to dominate opposing DBs, frequently leading to some impressive high point catches over the tops of them. Hampton has impressive hands, he can haul in a ton of tough-to-catch passes all around the field and is a serious threat after the catch- he's not the fastest but finds ways to work his way around defenders and make the most out of each reception. It's also impressive seeing Hampton block downfield- he can absolutely pancake defenders and help his teammates create huge plays in the open field. Hampton came up clutch all season for Gulf Shores passing attack, ending his junior year with 35 receptions for 378 yards and 8 touchdowns. Since our last update on Hampton, he's continued to make a name for himself in the recruiting world, picking up offers from Georgia Southern, Southern Miss, and Troy. It's been seriously impressive seeing what Hampton has accomplished in the last few months, keep an eye on him going into this fall- he's set to have a massive senior year.      [player_tooltip player_id='1115964' first='Landon' last='Everett'] has been one of the top LBs in our 2026 Rankings for multiple seasons now, he's been incredibly reliable for Gulf Shores' defense- making tons of huge plays all around the field against the run and pass. Everett has been a tackling machine for Gulf Shores each season he's started- he's excellent in pursuit and can make big tackles both in the open field, down in the box, and behind the line of scrimmage. He's terrific at identifying plays and consistently puts himself in great position to create an impact every down. Everett is also reliable against the pass in coverage and as a blitzer, shutting down pass catchers and causing tons of problems for quarterbacks in the backfield. Everett was terrific last season, ending the year with 178 total tackles (116 solo, 20.5 for loss), 1 sack, 9 hurries, 3 FFs, and 3 PBUs. Since our last update- Everett has found a ton of success out in the recruiting world, picking up offers from Arkansas State and Nicholls State. Keep an eye on Everett as he heads into his junior season- he's set up for a huge senior year this fall and is sure to pick up more attention along the way,
