For decades, the Gators have turned out quality football players, teams and impressive coaches who have kept this program in the spotlight.

While competing against some of the powers has not been easy, head coach Zach Threkeld and his staff have built a team that more than holds its own as an independent in the Sunshine State Athletic Association.

Coming off a 4-5 season, there were times when this team was ready to turn the corner, and as they approached the off-season and looked toward 2025, there was plenty of optimism with six prospects who can lead this team into the post season.

Here is a breakdown of those prospects that the rest of the team can follow as they blaze a path of success:

CLASS OF 2026

Jonathan Ramos, OL/DL, 6-1, 225 – 3.74 GPA. This two-way line standout brings experience, talent and leadership to the team. He has a motor that never stops until the play is over. Opens holes on offense and closes them on the defensive side of the ball. Also participates in basketball as well as throwing the shot put and discus in track.

Ramsey Rimes, RB/OLB, 5-8, 165 – 3.48 GPA. While he may not be the biggest player on the field, his vision and quickness as a running back are things that will continue to make him a major asset to this team. He is a lot faster than he appears, turning short gains into long runs. Doesn't go down on the first hit and catches the ball out of the backfield. Honorable Mention All-County as well as being voted as one of the MVP's on the team. He also uses his speed on the soccer field.

Need a big play on offense, just place him the Wildcat formation and he will get it done as well. A basketball player who also takes part in the track program as a 4 x 100 and 100 meter runner.
