Sunday afternoon, PrepRedzoneMN was blissfully unaware of the arctic conditions awaiting us outside of the well-heated Augsburg Sports Dome in Minneapolis, where the Augsburg University 2025 Skills Camp was being held. We appreciate the Auggies coaching staff, led by former Big School state champion-winning coach Derrin Laker, both for letting PrepRedzoneMN come, but also for being a MIAC school getting on the front foot in recruiting, developing, and getting kids on campus early. Located in the heart of Minneapolis, Augsburg is near both downtown and Dinkytown, and offers a big city feel for a DIII school that many other MIAC schools don't offer, and I had a bunch of great nights visiting my high school buddies who attended Augsburg while I was down in Northfield. They've also had a heckuva football team since before I entered the MIAC, and have always recruited my alma mater Minneapolis Southwest, so I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the Auggies and would recommend any prospect checking out campus and meeting the coaches. Getting kids on campus is always big for recruiting, and on Sunday, tons of 2026s, 2027s, and 2028s descended on Edor Nelson Field's dome for a great day of early recruiting attention and on-field competition. PrepRedzoneMN is happy to have your exclusive coverage of the Top Performers & Standouts from The Augsburg University Skills Camp. Make sure to stay tuned for the Auggies all-position camp coming on May 18th as well!

Alpha: [player_tooltip player_id='551354' first='Hayden' last='Tischler'] (Mankato East) 2026. WR. 5'11, 175 lbs.

The best performer and undisputed Big Dog at the Augsburg University 2025 Skills Camp comes out of Mankato East High School and their standout junior pass-catcher [player_tooltip player_id='551354' first='Hayden' last='Tischler']. Tischler is a name I have highlighted as both a potential stock riser on the 2026 Big Board, as well as a WR with some of the most fun tape, as his 36 catches for 624 yards and 12 TDs came in electric fashion, with big gains and a lot of yards after the catch. We've also clocked him in the high 4.7s in the 40 and as high as a 9'2 broad jump, and Tischer had speed, explosiveness, and quickness all on display at Augsburg. The 507 product was the best route runner and had the best ball skills, resulting in a ton of highlight-reel-worthy snags while high-pointing the football right on the heads of helpless DB. Once the working QBs got to know Tischer through a few reps, they did a great job of throwing the rock up and letting him make a play. Tischer was also getting very open at the top of the route, with smooth and sudden COD ability, and could consistently win in 50/50 situations, making him the undisputed 1v1 king who rarely came away from a rep without the football. This dude is going to make some noise on the summer camp circuit.

Biggest Stock Riser: Brady Kemp (Lakeville North) 2027. TE. 6'4, 215ish

What an addition to the upcoming 2027 rankings update we have on our hands here! The biggest stock riser from Augsburg's 2025 Skills Camp was the prospect with the highest upside in attendance, catching and holding the eye thanks to his easy 6'4 frame that was long, lean, and carrying somewhere between 210 and 220 pounds, if I had to guess. Also excitingly, Kemp is only a sophomore and comes out of a powerhouse in the Big School ranks in Lakeville North. The Panthers are a talent factory on the recruiting front, so Kemp is going to be coached up well, and in 2024, the sophomore posted 2 catches for 21 yards and a TD, but he doesn't have a Twitter (does have IG) and doesn't have any film from this past season. However, Kemp had a strong showing during indy and 1v1s, showing good speed for his size, a smooth gait and solid body control, and a huge catch radius. Kemp also showed off some high point and contested catch ability in a couple strong 1v1 wins and receptions, and he has soft hands to go along with his ball skills and athletic ability. Going to be a name we're watching very closely this offseason and into next fall.

Top Performers

[player_tooltip player_id='1248709' first='Dane' last='Birr'] (Hudson, WI) 2026. DB. 5'11, 160 lbs.

A junior from right over the border in Wisconsin, Hudson High School's junior WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1248709' first='Dane' last='Birr'] is a name well-known to us at PRZ, as Birr does a good job of staying active in the offseason and runs with the MN Grind 7v7 squad out of Minneapolis. Birr played DB on Sunday, and we're used to seeing him play WR, so that was a nice treat, and Birr won far more reps than he lost, displaying a competitive demeanor and some noticeable athleticism at 5'11, 160 pounds. He had a great rep locking down our Alpha of the event, and was able to play press-man with confidence and physicality. Birr was sticky, posting some impressive INTs on both short and deep routes around the field, and was in contention for the best DB performance of the camp. Birr didn't get a lot of padded reps with Hudson in 2024, so I think he could be a real gem for a DIII team.

Angel Ignacio Cisneros (Hopkins) 2026. DB. 6'1, 160 lbs.

What a performance by the Hopkins CB! Cisneros was so impressive that I could see him getting a significant boost in the rankings in a month or two. He was my pick for the most impressive DB in attendance, showing why he had a productive season against big-time 6A competition with the Royals. Good size and length, was more than comfortable pressing and getting his hands on receivers, and was consistently sticky against all types of receivers on Sunday afternoon. First off, the kid took maybe 100 reps of 1v1 man coverage, holding up even late into the competition to display some physical endurance and conditioning for the middle of the offseason. He was physical, especially at the catch point, did a great job of finding and staying in the hip pocket of a receiver, and was consistent in his eye discipline, getting his around when he was in a good position to find and play the ball. His hips, length, and COD ability, as well as balance, helped him stay with a WR throughout his route, and he was fast enough to carry receivers going vertical. All around balanced and impressive showing by the Hopkins product.

[player_tooltip player_id='591740' first='Boston' last='Meyer'] (Mankato East) 2026. WR. 6', 190 lbs.

Another good showing out of Mankato East, Meyer had a strong day in the route running, body control, and 1v1 wins during competition. Meyer was able to consistently create separation and could track, locate, and attack the ball out of the air well. He showed some body control in a couple of tight snags that required a toe-tap or two on the sideline, as well as some nice snags out of the air. Solid, thicker build and played through contact well.

Hunter Beyer (New Richmond, WI) 2026. WR/CB. 5'10, 175 lbs.

Strong performance from the western Wisconsin native, who tore it up on both sides of the ball at the Augsburg 2025 Skills Camp. Beyer was a thick, powerful 175 lber. whose body control in the air and when playing the ball, showing off strength and balance at the catch point, and his burst as a route runner, as well as his breaks, was impressive and effective. I loved his high-energy, competitive playstyle, and he was working hard and getting as many reps as possible. His quick feet and sudden COD ability showed up well as a route runner, and he was a champ on 50/50 balls all afternoon long. Good athlete coming out of a great prep program in New Richmond.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654627' first='Nasir' last='Arradondo'] (Columbia Heights) 2028. WR.

I had no clue Arradondo was a freshman until I sat down to write his evaluation. Talk about a kid with some juice! The Columbia Heights product wasn't the biggest on the gridiron, but he was fearless, feisty, noticeably athletic, and productive against hardened and experienced varsity cornerbacks from all classifications of competition. He was twitchy as a route runner, would sell out when playing the ball in the air and going after 50/50 balls, and had real burst out of his cuts and breaks. Good speed as well, but I really loved how he competed against varsity cornerbacks. Took some lumps here and there, but he more than held his own and won some hard-earned reps throughout the afternoon against good defense. Columbia Heights has some legit athletes coming out of their underclassman ranks right now.

Honorable Mentions

[player_tooltip player_id='421997' first='Solomon' last='Erickson'] (Robbinsdale Armstrong) 2026. WR. 5'10, 155 lbs.

Electric 1v1 showing from the Armstrong Falcon junior, who was shifty to the point of untouchable at the top of the route, and his COD skills were smooth, sudden, and exciting, earning a ton of praise from Augsburg coaches on both sides of the ball, as well as continuing to catch my eye over the course of the afternoon. Erickson was consistently creating separation, showed good speed at the top end that could win when going vertical, and was a technically-sound route runner who was hard for CBs to get a hand on, much less cover. Did see some good competition on the day and fought through it despite a bit of a size difference, but was all-in-all a competitor and a good athlete at the WR position. Lot to work with for a potential DIII suitor.

Sam Wagner (Le Sueur Henderson) 2026. QB/ATH. 6'1, 185 lbs.

A small schooler from the 507, Le Sueur-Henderson's Sam Wagner looks like he's been cast into the role as the Giants QB1 in 2024 and was looking to get some work in and develop his game going into his senior season. The RB/FS is obviously athletic, and although he's still very raw mechanically, Wagner had some good throws on the day and owns a live arm connected to his right shoulder. Given the fact that high school teams will move their best athlete to quarterback if need be, and with Wagner's already present dynamic ability and positional versatility, Wagner projects very well to the DIII level and the MIAC, as his best football is still in front of him. We'll be keeping an eye on him next fall.

Mason Eberle (Lakeville North) 2027. QB.

Representing a strong Lakeville North contingent from the QB position, Eberle wasn't the biggest QB in attendance, but he had a very big arm for his age and was chucking the pigskin all around the field on Sunday. A bit inconsistent, but it looked like the whole route tree was available to him, and he threw a tight spiral with some noticeable zip as well. Eberle also sports an athletic and solid build, and online he was listed as an OLB in addition to playing football's most important position.

Tyson Reynolds (Lakeville North) 2027. WR. 6'1, 165 lbs.

More Panthers pride to enjoy as 2027 wideout Tyson Reynolds showed some real juice as a pass catcher. With good size and a frame that could hold a significant amount more weight, Reynolds was shifty and quick in his releases and at the top of the route, giving DBs fits when trying to get a hand on. Still an underclassman, his technical ability combined with his long frame has me excited about what he could do as an upperclassman.

[player_tooltip player_id='1648458' first='Andrew' last='Varh'] (Moorhead) 2026. CB. 5'11, 175 lbs.

Varh made the long trip from Moorhead down to the 612 for the occasion, and I'm pumped I saw him, as he's a real sleeper on an already loaded Moorhead roster going into the 2025 season. Varh was arguably the most athletic player in attendance. Explosive and twitchy when working laterally and showed some eye-catching bounce when playing the ball in the air, but was somewhat inconsistent throughout 1v1s and took some lumps here and there. He was very physical, and was more efficient and successful when he was able to get his hands on a receiver, but he was caught peeking when out of position a couple of reps and paid the price. Either way, Varh is a high-upside addition to a college roster, particularly a MIAC team like the Auggies.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581343' first='Brody' last='Lillo'] (Esko) 2026. CB. 5'10, 165 lbs.

Another junior made the drive to the 612 from up north in the 218, Lillo had a strong showing as a cornerback, working his butt off through what seemed like limitless reps during 1v1 competition, notching a high number of PBUs and INTs on a variety of routes around the gridiron. Lillo was fast, which allowed him to play risky, as his makeup speed was more than enough to get himself back into a good position. Lillo fired out of his breaks with noticeable pace, and his ball skills and strong hands were productive in pass defense. Good athlete with a competitive drive and edge who would make a college DB room better.

Adam Stanton (Lakeville North) 2027. QB.

Another young Lakeville North gunslinger in attendance at the Augsburg University 2025 Skills Camp, Stanton flashed accuracy, ball placement, and arm strength on some big-time throws throughout the day. Did so quietly and competitively as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610248' first='Gavin' last='Casey'] (Lakeville North) 2027. DB. 5'10, 170 lbs.

Casey is already doing a great job of continuing with and forging the tradition of athletic and high-powered prep DB prospects, starting on the Panthers' 9-2 2024 squad as a safety. He was muscular and thick, with a strong build that looked like it could handle varsity contact in run defense, and he showed some juice in pass defense as well. Casey was strong at the contact point and could easily knock receivers off-balance and off their marks during a route. Good technique, solid out of his breaks, and physical. Always a good combination. This is a big name to get fired up about in the 2027 DB class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654629' first='Porter' last='Simonson'] (Glencoe-Silver Lake) 2028. WR.

Another standout freshman, Simonson was the most unassuming receiver in attendance, but he had some juice as a route runner and pass catcher, measuring in at over 6' with some good length on his lean, skinny frame that is hopefully going to add significant weight over his prep career. Simonson was quick, showed some confidence and ability to create separation throughout a route, and was soft-handed and competitive. Wouldn't surprise me if he started contributing to Glencoe-Silver Lake sooner rather than later.

[player_tooltip player_id='1558766' first='Keelin' last='Vang'] (St. Paul Highland Park) 2026. WR. 5'10, 160 lbs.

Repping the 651 and St. Paul public schools, Vang had a solid built and a balanced skillset as a receiver, with some quickness, athleticism, and sure-handedness that won 1v1 reps against high-quality CB competition. He did a good job of creating separation at the top of the route and was strong at the catch point. Vang is poised for a big year with the Scots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633470' first='Mason' last='McKinnon'] (Cambridge-Isanti) 2027. WR.

A sophomore with good size and some noticeably long arms, McKinnon was an eye-catcher thanks to his frame and bleach-blond buzz cut, and he earned some solid 1v1 wins throughout the afternoon against solid CB competition. He showed good speed that could win downfield, and had a big catch radius thanks to those long arms. I'm interested to see how this offseason treats the rising upperclassman.

Jonathan Kabaso (Andover) 2026. WR/TE. 6'1, 200 lbs.

A bigger-bodied pass catcher who is a WR/TE hybrid positionally speaking, Kabaso showed some strength through contact, both when working through the press and at the catch point, where he could win contested catches.
