He checks into our rankings as the number three linebacker in the class, and just outside the top ten overall. He shows a explosive first step, natural bend around the edge and a active use of hands at the POA while stout against the run and knows how to set the edge with heavy hands and proper placement. He is a every down guy that can make plays outside the tackles as well, and is seemingly always around the ball. He shows a quick play diagnosis, takes proper angles in the open field and is a sure tackler in space while showing he can get off blocks inside, knife into the backfield and has a nose for the ball. In coverage, he can get into the flats and cover downfield, while a very high IQ player in zone coverage. He also shows good COD for his size and scrapes well over the top while bringing a nice pop on contact. He has plenty of Varsity experience heading into his Junior season, and is one of the top offensive weapons in the state in the 2027 class. Wilson is a natural route runner that can stretch the field vertically and shows high-point abilities and strong hands in traffic. He knows how to settle against zone coverage and quickly knife up-field while tough to bring down in open space due to his short area wiggle and physicality with the ball in his hands. He is another prospect that has a lot of varsity experience heading into his junior season and is a true interior road grader that gets immediate vertical push and finishes blocks downfield. He snaps out of his stance, can pull across the line and block in space and is a high IQ player in pass protection when picking up pressures and twists. He has a strong arm downfield while able to buy time with his legs and is a natural thrower that puts good spin on the ball and can fit it into tight windows. The rising Junior does a nice job of feeling pressure in the pocket and can throw on the run while keeping his eyes down field and not losing zip on the ball when throwing across his body.
