Bradley checks into our rankings as a top 11 running back in this class and is coming off a nice second season campaign for San Leandro. He is a twitchy runner with a good burst through the first level and can make defenders miss in the hole while a natural pass catcher out of the backfield. He shows good twitch with the ball in his hands and foot speed and is able to run through arm and ankle tackles/shows good contact balance in traffic. Heading into his Junior season, he will be one of the top Junior rushers across the Bay Area and is in line for a big season where he should once again go over the 1,000 yard marker.

McBean checks into our rankings as a top 20 running back across the state and will excel at the next level in the right system. He is a strong and punishing runner that gets downhill quickly, looks for contact in the hole and is a true north and south ball carrier that is a bruiser once he gets going behind his pads. He shows a low to the ground running style, bounces off tackles in traffic and shows some wiggle and a explosive burst, especially for his size. He should draw plenty of interest from the FCS level and would fit perfectly as either a fullback or bigger tailback in college.

Garza is part of a talented backfield at Mira Costa heading into the 2025 season and is coming off a stellar Junior season campaign. He is a very strong runner that is tough to take down in one on one situation's and is a low to the ground ball carrier with natural forward lean and bounces off tacklers in traffic. He shows good speed in the open field, while able to make defenders miss in open space and force bad angles with sneaky third level speed. He has a very strong build and powerful lower half while also excelling in pass protection in the pocket. Checking in just inside the top 200 overall in our rankings, he is one of the top names to know in the back field across the region heading into the fall.

Drake has the ideal size, frame, and attributes to be a next level back and is a no-brainer to enter into our 2027 rankings in the next update off the watch list. He rushed for almost 1,000 yards as a Sophomore for one of the top teams in the state, and is a explosive and violent runner with the ball in his hands. He looks for contact in the hole, shows good sudden twitch and movement abilities while able to make defenders miss in tight windows and flashes a true open field burst in the clear to break away from tacklers and is tough to bring down in open space. Drake displays foot speed and contact balance through the first two levels, and is a very balanced runner with the tools for the next level. Look for Drake to build upon his Sophomore season and be one of the top rushers across Southern California in 2025.

Wafer is a home-run back with elite twitch in the hole and a true burst into the open field with a third level gear. He shows quick feet in traffic, contact balance through tackles and can run tough inside while also able to bounce it out when needed and make plays/gain the edge. He also shows he can catch the ball out of the backfield and gets up-field quickly with plus short area quickness and lateral agility in tight windows. Overall, he is a twitchy and explosive back that will be one of the valley's best heading into 2025 and is a next level back.
