2027 Ranking Preview of Highly Ranked Unoffered Linemen to Know

I like him best at Guard where he currently has good height and elite frame and size. Measured in at 6'04", 308lbs at our recent Winter Showcase. If he surpasses the 6'05" threshold, Offensive Tackle is in play for recruitment. Very good athlete for his size and position, with very good explosiveness, foot quickness, lateral movement, and flexibility. Elite Pass Protector. Best in Jump Sets where he quickly engages the defender with a violent punch that allows him to set his feet and anchor. Shows very good set points in Vertical sets, using his very good foot quickness and lateral movement to mirror defenders. Shows the ability to counter and reset pass rush moves, which was evident at our showcase. Elite anchor, with very good knee bend and strength to quickly halt the bull rush. Very good Gap blocker, coming off the ball with very good explosiveness and pad level, creating good leverage and block fit on his assignment in Base, Down, and Double Team blocks. Good leg drive that opens up the gap for the ball carrier. Very good Pull blocker, with good timing and angles with the ability to fit and win his block. Good in Zone blocking, using his lateral movement to gain leverage with good use of hands to sustain the block. I expect Jaxon's recruitment to heat up this summer. Good athletic ability with very good explosiveness, balance, lateral agility, good flexibility, foot quickness, hand quickness, acceleration, solid foot speed, and change of direction. Very good Pass Protector, with good set points and quick feet, allowing him to keep leverage and a half-man relationship when mirroring defenders. Quick and powerful punch that stuns pass rushers to put them off balance, allowing him to quickly anchor and win the rep. Very good Gap blocker, coming off the ball with very good pad level and explosiveness into his block, driving defenders out of his gap in Base, Down, and Double Team blocks. Very good Zone blocker and Pull Blocker. Using his very good lateral movement to efficiently move in space, with the strength to engage his block with good form and explosiveness to win his rep and finish his block. Would like to see him stay square longer on Vertical sets to not open inside moves for pass rushers. Overall, a very good prospect who will be a Division 1 Tackle prospect if he can get to 6'05". Relentless motor that allows him to pressure the QB through the play. Good run defender, keeping gap integrity with very good lateral movement down the line of scrimmage to defend the run showing very good range. Displays the strength to hold his ground and prevent movement from the offensive line. Plays defensive line and offensive line. We ranked him as a defensive lineman as we like his projection there best, but he can be recruited on the offensive line as well. As a defensive lineman, he is a 0-3 Tech DT who wins with his size and strength. He displays good upfield burst, playing with good pad level and leverage versus offensive linemen, anchoring himself to not lose ground and eat up his gap assignment. Very good versus the run, showing very good processing and eyes to read the play with very good block shed and using his foot quickness and lateral movement to make a tackle. Disrupts plays by pushing linemen into the backfield forcing running backs to create outside of the designed run. Good power pass rush, driving his legs to push the depth of the pocket not allowing the QB to step up, with good block shed to sack the QB when he does step up. Would like to see more consistent use of hands when initially engaging blocks and for him to develop more counter moves which will take his game to the next level. On the offensive line, he can play Guard or Center. Comes off the ball with very good explosiveness into his blocks, driving defenders in Gap schemes. Solid in Zone run schemes, showing the athleticism to get in space and block on the move. Can get to the second level and cut off backers. Overall, a good prospect with very good upside on either side of the ball. Good strength versus the power rush, keeping his balance, and not being driven back. Solid business to post inside versus a speed rush, using his very good grip strength to drive the defender out of his rush lane. Good run blocker, driving defenders out of the gap. Good lateral movement on Pull blocks with very good block fit and explosiveness to kick out edge defenders. No zone-blocking reps are seen in his 2024 film that is available, yet his lateral movement suggests a solid-to-good grade for Zone blocking. Would like to see him attack more with his hands in pass protection and continue to develop his flexibility. A two-way player as a Defensive Tackle and Offensive Lineman. We like him best at DT where he can use his size, strength, and explosiveness as a run defender. He can align anywhere from the 0-3 Technique and plays with good leverage and strength to hold his gap assignment. Uses his strength and long arms to lock out and shed blocks, meeting the ball carrier in the hole to make the tackle. Good strength and power in pass rush to push the pocket to put distress on the QB preventing him from stepping up in the pocket. As an offensive lineman, he projects as a guard. The raw tools are there. He is a mauler in the run game, driving the defender out of the gap. At our showcase, he displayed a very good anchor in pass protection. He will need to develop his balance and core strength to sustain block fits and play with more control on the field. Moves well in space blocking for his size, and shows the ability to get himself in position on Zone blocks and sustain them to create a lane for the ball carrier. Solid Pass Protector with a very good punch that allows him to control defenders and good flexibility and strength to anchor himself. Would like to see him become more light on his feet and improve his foot quickness in his pass set.
