Continuing our series of diving into the 2026 rankings, I will be going into the quarterbacks. Other than the big-name QBs of Colorado, I wanted to highlight some of the hidden gems. Throughout the rankings, value is littered and hidden everywhere. These quarterbacks have helped raise the ceiling on their team. Let's get into it.

Frescaz had a nice junior season for Doherty. Measuring in at 6'4 195-pounds; he threw for 1907 yards on 131/208, 63% completion rate, 18 TD, 7 INT, 47 carries for 277 yards and 8 touchdowns. Frescaz has very good mental processing. When he is under duress, he stays poised looking downfield for an open man. If no one's open he'll use his athletic ability to get the first down. He has very good acceleration, good speed, and change of direction. Very shifty in the pocket. Very good throw power. Frescaz has a very good release. It's very quick and accurate. He puts a nice touch on the ball when he throws it. He has very good ball placement skills, whether in stride of the WR or above the DBs. He has good throw on the run ability, he can roll out left as well and maintain accuracy. He has good footwork in the pocket, stepping into his throws leading to a very accurate passer. I'm ecstatic to see how he plays in his senior year, and colleges should take an extra look over his tape.

Measuring in at 6'2 170-pounds, Radi threw for 1505 yards on 102/165 with a 61.8% completion rate, 14 TD, and 6 INT. What impresses me most about Radi is how cool, calm, and collected he is under pressure. He looks very fluid in the way he plays. When there are multiple defenders in his face, he'll scramble out (while evading them) keeping his eyes downfield the entire time looking for the open man. Fearless in the face of pressure. Radi has good throw power and good release. He has a very good touch on the ball, making it easier for the receivers to catch. Good ball placement skills. Very good throw on the run. Can launch the ball downfield and accurately on the run. Very fluid hips. Radi had a nice pump fake that faked out a couple of defenders, allowing his receiver extra time to get open. Radi is an impressive young QB who deserves some extra looks by the colleges.

Cranford is a dual-threat QB who can beat the defense both in the air and the ground. Measuring in at 6'0 160-pounds, Cranford threw for 2144 yards on 186/288 with a 64.6% completion rate, 19 TD, 10 INT, 58 carries for 335 yards and 7 touchdowns. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, change of direction, and speed. He has a good throw power and a good release. Very good throw on the run. He's elusive in the pocket, scrambling out right to find the open guy. Good ball placement skills. His accuracy while on the run under pressure is impressive. He can launch it downfield with defenders in his face, leading the WR in stride. If no one is open, he uses his very good athletic ability to gash the defense. Cranford has very dynamic cuts to make defenders miss out in space. Another exciting gem that I want to see more of next season.

Balafas had an impressive junior season. Measuring in at 6'0 175-pounds, Balafas threw for 1160 on 95/175 for a 54.3% completion rate, 19 TD, and 1 INT. Balafas makes it look effortless when he is on the field, very smooth and fluidity to his game. Good drop back. He has very good throw power, and launches it with ease. Very good release. It's quick and snappy allowing him to fit the ball in tight windows. He has very good ball placement. He'll launch it between multiple defenders, and it'll be on the money to his receiver. He has very good mental processing. Decisive with the football. If the man isn't open, he'll throw it away or scramble for extra yards. Balafas stays poised under pressure, going through his progressions. He has good accuracy at all 3 levels; however he has a very good deep ball. Next year I believe he will propel himself into the conversation of top Colorado QBs.

Marsenich leads a high-power rushing offense for Legend. Measuring in at 6'1 175-pounds, Marsenich threw for 1261 on 96/165. 58.2% completion rate, 10 TD, 7 INT. He has good throw power paired with a good release. What stands out the most to me about Michael is his very good ball placement skills. When the WR was in a contested battle with the DB, he would throw it right above his receiver, allowing him the chance to get the contested catch. He'll throw it in stride too. Marsenich has good throw on the run, especially rolling out left. He uses his fluid hips to rotate his body, maintaining accuracy on the run. Good touch on his throws. His deep ball impresses me. He uses a high arch giving his WR more time to get underneath. Reminds me of Russell Wilson moon ball-esque. I'm interested to see how he continues to grow next year, since their star RB in [player_tooltip player_id='475378' first='Jaden' last='Lawrence'] moved onto Wyoming.
