Outstanding all around athlete that has already earned a scholarship in baseball from UGA. He was clocked at several camps last summer at 4.4 in the 40 and was a two way starter last Fall for Morgan County. He is in good shape to put up big numbers this season with 3000 yard QB [player_tooltip player_id='1474667' first='Davis' last='Strickland'] returning at QB. He has the athleticism to go up and over DBs to make the catch and the speed to out run the defense with the ball in his hands, a natural playmaker. He had 64 catches last Fall for over 1000 yds with 11 TDs. He will have a new signal caller in the backfield this Fall but Mathis has the potential to be one of the States leading WR's in 2025. He recently received an offer from Jacksonville State to go with 4 D1 offers he received before last season. A two year starter that has accumulated 81 catches for 1500 yards during his Junior and Sophomore seasons. He put up some outstanding numbers on the track last Spring with a 10.7 100m and a 21.5 200m. He uses his speed on the football field to get vertical on the defense quickly. Tough kid that can catch the ball in traffic. High academics with Cornell and Dartmouth extending offers. Those in the recruiting circles talk highly about his potential , with Florida extending an offer earlier this week. He is slated to be the go to man this Fall for the Lions and should put up some big numbers after catching 36 passes for 505 yards last season. He had a high TD to catch ratio last Fall with 9 TDs on 37 catches and averaged close to 20 ypc. Farley has a high football IQ and is a good route runner. He understands catching the ball at its highest point and does a good job getting YAC. Physical kid that loves to block. I think he shows his potential this Fall to also be a WR prospect at the next level. Top level speed and athleticism and is a natural on the field. He had just 38 catches last season but scored a TD on 12 of those grabs and put up close to 900 yards. Depending on how much Carver wants to use him on both sides of the ball in '25, he has the potential to easily eclipse the 1000 yard mark.
