First and most prominent was on the defense line. Playing a prototypical defensive end role, Dylan played fast and physical for a JV player. His first highlight showcases a VERY good getoff, coming off the ball before the entire offensive line. Then, Dylan gets a free ride to the QB who happens to mishandle the snap, allowing Dylan to jump on it. The next play I'll quickly mention is at 4:47- Dylan works through the block, plays contain well, and meets the RB at the line of scrimmage. Solid anchor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dylan also has a handful of offensive highlights, as he's mainly utilized as an H-Back. A few solid blocks! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In order for Dylan to be a productive player on Varsity, he must continue to improve his play speed and physicality. Get in the weight room. Practice hard and with intention. Do well in school. Plays like 3:05 show a good ability to play contain when on-ball, while plays like 3:19 show a decent ability to stop the outside run (on his side of the field). Really, I'd love to see much better physicality next season. I see that Hunter knows his keys, can read an offense, and he consistently puts himself in a good position to make a play. What is lacking right now is all-around physicality. I'll mention 3:17 again. Hunter is 1on1 with the running back, but instead of working upfield and delivering a hit, he plants his feet and waits for the RB to come to him. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Still very optimistic about Hunter's development. Ernesto excels in straight-up man-on-man gap blocking. Ernesto has his man, and he hits him and moves him with great leverage and power. So many highlights demonstrating extremely good run blocking- similar to a lot of Muskegon LBs I've watched over the years. Ernesto also has a couple second level blocks, 1:00 being a good example. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Generally, I'd like to see better demonstrations of agility and pass-blocking in the future. He dodges the block, and sprints toward the WR to blow him up. What a way to kick off your tape!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The play at 0:26 is a solid showcase of his man-to-man coverage. I like his eyes- looking at the receiver's feet and watching his hips. The camera cuts at that point, then goes back to Hillard as he goes full stretch for the PBU. Finally, 0:52 shows an extremely impressive kick return against Mona Shores.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm very impressed with Justin's highlights against great teams. A lot of his potential recruitment will depend on his athletic ability, 1on1s, and grades. Owen takes the flea flicker and delivers a very quick strike to the deep crosser. A Muskegon linebacker was coming in hot, so great job getting that ball out as quickly and calmy as possible. Then, 0:37 shows a strike to the middle of the field. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Finally, plays like 5:13 show pretty dang good burst and running ability. I didn't see it coming, but Owen can really take off when he wants to. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Very good Sophomore season on what was a good Forest Hills Northern team.
