With the season concluded, we've updated our rankings. We didn't do a complete overhaul of the 2025 rankings, but there are still several players that made big moves. Here, we break down the quarterbacks that moved up in the final 2025 rankings.

Evans wasn't the primary starter as a senior but had a strong Prep Redzone Showcase performance, where he took home quarterback MVP honors over one of the most talented groups of quarterbacks I've seen in a single camp setting. He has a quick, compact throwing motion and accuracy that suggests he could have a bigger role in college than he had in high school. We think he's a guy who could thrive at the next level.

At 6'5", 220 pounds, Fee has the physical tools and arm talent to be a great college quarterback. He didn't get an opportunity to show off that talent until his senior year, however. He checked a lot of the boxes we expected him to check during the season, but his willingness and ability as a runner impressed us as well. His strong arm and accuracy will make an FCS school very happy.

Byrd burst onto the scene as a sophomore and has gotten better every year since. A talented dual-threat, Byrd threw for over 10,000 yards and ran for another 1,700 in his career. He's among the all-time state leaders in total touchdowns and threw at least one touchdown pass in all 40 of his starts. He'll go down as one of the most productive quarterbacks in state history and ETSU is getting a guy who could start early. I have a G5 grade on him, even though he's bound for the FCS level.

Nance will go down as one of the winningest quarterbacks in North Carolina history and his injury in the state semifinals this year will b a huge "what if?" Still, he threw for nearly 5,000 yards and 60 touchdowns, adding 4,364 yards and 81 touchdowns on the ground. If my math is correct, that makes him tenth in state history with 141 career touchdowns. He improved greatly as a passer as a senior and is one of the highest-ranked uncommitted players in the class.

There's a good amount of future projection that goes into our rankings and when it's all said and done, we could go back and wonder why Mahan wasn't ranked even higher. He has the best tools in the class, with a rocket for an arm and game-breaking ability on the ground. As a senior, he really honed in on the finer parts of quarterbacking, improving his completion percentage by 11% and tripling his yardage on the ground. He might not be the guy who starts right away, but in two to three years, he could end up as the best player in the class.
