Listed as a TE on our site, it might be time to give Sioux City East's [player_tooltip player_id='856405' first='Jack' last='Ohman'] the ATH tag after a tremendous season on the defensive line. Ohman ended the year near the top of his class in sacks with 6, also posting 33 total tackles, 9.5 TFLs, and two fumble recoveries (one returned for TD). Jack's size and strength allow him to play nearly anywhere along the DL, with time at defensive end and defensive tackle. His lengthy 6'5" frame and burst coming off the ball make him a terror when attacking off the edge, using his long reach to create separation and fight off blockers. Jack's strong base and aggressiveness at the point of attack also make him a very tough interior defender when moved inside to DT, using his powerful leg drive to move blockers off the ball.Great job keeping his eyes on the ball with the lateral quickness to chase down ball carriers. He still has room to continue filling out his frame, which is scary to think about if you're an opposing coordinator.

The stats may not tell the full story for Cedar Rapids Washington's [player_tooltip player_id='1238495' first='Terryion' last='Montgomery'], who displayed the upside to rise up recruiting boards this offseason. Montogomery recorded 24 tackles, 6.5 TFLs, 4.5 sacks, 134 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown. Watching Terryion's tape, you see a raw but highly talented player with great measurables at 6'2," 205 pounds, and a mean streak on the field. Montgomery flashes a quick first step that sends him flying downhill when he reads the run and has the power to drop his opponent on contact at the point of attack. Terryion is very gap-sound when defending the run and displays a nice twitch at the line of scrimmage, allowing him to spring loose and continue tracking down the ball. Good closing speed and a solid open field tackler. Very underrated athleticism which is shown in Montgomery's ability to play RB and return kicks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1421471' first='Gavin' last='Warren'] (@warregav10), DB/ATH - Sergeant Bluff-Luton - 6'1" 165 lbs

SBL's [player_tooltip player_id='1421471' first='Gavin' last='Warren'] emerged as a two-way star during the Warrior's tremendous run last season, as a crucial player on both sides of the ball. Gavin produced in clutch moments, time and time again, ending the year with 269 receiving yards, four receiving touchdowns, 31 tackles, a fumble recovery, and an impressive six interceptions. Warren could play offense or defense at the collegiate level, but his defensive potential will for sure draw the most attention. He's a super athletic defensive back with the speed and sharp change of direction to keep up with any receiver. Gavin has a great feel for the game with a high football IQ that allows him to read and quickly diagnose offenses, picking up on route concepts with ease and even jumping the route to come up with the turnover. Excellent ball skills, physicality at the catch point, and great tracking skills to get right under the throw. Very impressive DB prospect who should rise up some boards this spring.

A super intriguing prospect here with Osage's [player_tooltip player_id='1241487' first='Sevryn' last='Dodd'], who had an impact in every role he played last season. Sevryn recorded 238 rushing yards, 340 receiving yards, four rushing touchdowns, a receiving touchdown, and a 2-point conversion on offense. Dodd will surely draw interest for his offensive versatility, but his playmaking on the defensive side is also hard to overlook, with 48 tackles, 13 TFLs, six sacks, a fumble recovery, and an interception. Sevryn is a well-rounded outside linebacker with the aggressiveness of a linebacker and the coverage skills of a defensive back. Sevryn is very dangerous when rushing, flashing a quick get-off at the snap, solid bend, and good twitch to cross up blockers at the line of scrimmage. Dodd does a great job setting the edge with the ability to stuff outside running lanes and blow up RB screens to his side. He is a very effective tackler when he gets to the ball carrier, showing great technique and power to ensure his opponent goes down immediately. One of those sneaky good athletes with the potential to draw attention from local D1 programs.

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1530349' first='Peyton' last='Goedken'] stepped up as a starter last season for the Dubuque Rams and will look to continue developing next season with the current Class 3A State champions, Wahlert Catholic Golden Eagles. Goedken posted solid production in year 3 with 54 total tackles as he excelled as a run defender. Goedken impressed with his ability to read his keys, using his quick trigger to shoot downhill when he keys the run and sound gap play to break through the LOS. Good strength allows him to disengage from blockers to continue his pursuit of the ball carrier. Good momentum building for Goedken heading into his senior year.
