Gorman almost took defensive line MVP with his play at the Showcase. He showed good football intelligence and instincts and understands how to play the game of football. Portis was one of the best-performing running backs at the Prep Redzone Showcase. I came away impressed with his quickness and his speed. In position drills, he did an excellent job of running with the ball and making excellent jump cuts with the ball in his hands. In the one-on-one competition he did a nice job of running routes. I thought he did a good job at the position drills. He moves well and gets in and out of breaks well. He also showed up big time in the competition phase of the Showcase. It wasn't perfect, but he competed hard and stood out with his effort and toughness. As a 2028 member of the class, I thought he did well during the showcase. Going against a loaded group of quarterbacks, Smith did a good job competing all day. He got better as the competition ramped up. Smith has the fundamentals to be an excellent quarterback going forward. He also showed good fundamentals in throwing the ball. Torres Johnson did a nice job during the entire showcase by catching the ball and running excellent routes.  He shows good quickness and speed.
