As a receiver, he is a tremendous route runner with great footwork and excellent subtle fakes to make a corner bite. Pula runs a diverse route tree and wins at all levels. He appears to do everything effortlessly and is such a graceful mover. He has great lateral quickness, straight-line speed, and excellent vision and creativity after the catch. Pula is physical and will make defenders miss with the ball in his hands. He tracks the ball well, showcases late hands, and makes difficult catches look easy. Pula is simply a playmaker and might be a better Safety. He is versatile and talented enough to play both safety positions and as a deep safety, is an eraser and showcases exceptional awareness and anticipation. Pula covers a lot of ground and is an eraser and a ball-hawking safety. He is a textbook tackler, will lay the hammer down to break up a play, and will come down the box to support in the run, take on bigger players, and shed them to make a tackle. Pula is a power four talent on both sides of the ball and will be a multi-year starter and impact player at the next level.

Moa is a tremendous two way athlete with ready made skills to make an impact at the Power four level right now. He is twitchy receiver with an excellent release package and footwork. Moa is an exceptional route runner with excellent hip sink, fluidity, and lateral quickness to change directions on a dime. He is slippery in the open field and a dynamic receiver who tracks the ball effortlessly and makes acrobatic catches with ease and showcases late hands to put his defender in a bind while in chase mode. Moa is a premier athlete and will be a power four starter early on. As a defender, his footwork and hip sink allows him to stick to opposing receivers at will and his athleticism allows him to be an asset as a deep safety. Overall, Moa is one of the most complete players in the state.

Akana is an excellent two way player with good size and ready made frame for the next level. As a receiver, his big frame and athleticism creates mismatches for opposing defenses at all levels. Akana is a playmaker and a very good route runner that showcases suddenness and good change of direction. He has excellent, strong hands and makes tough catches outside of his frame with ease, his athleticism allows him to win in many situations. He shows excellent ball-tracking skills and has late hands when the ball is in the air. Akana is deadly with a free release, he has excellent body control and is a big play threat waiting to happen. He wins at all levels, has the speed to win deep, the footwork and route running ability to win at nuanced intermediate routes, and good suddenness and physicality to win short and pick-up chunk yards after the catch. His biggest asset is his size and he is an exceptional target in the redzone. As a defender, Akana is an excellent Safety and can play both positions. He has the range, athleticism, and ground cover to play a deep safety role and understands the receiver position, which is an excellent help to stop opposing alpha receivers. Akana has the frame and physicality to be a box safety and help out in run support. He is an exciting two-way player, a power-four recruit on either side of the ball.

Mayberry is a twitchy receiver with great ball skills who tracks the ball well. He excels in contested catch situations and easily transitions upfield to create after the catch. Mayberry showcases strong hands, plucks the ball out of mid-air, and plays bigger than his frame. He is a fluid mover and good route runner who understands tempo, is great at second moves, and sells his routes accordingly with various fakes and hesitation moves to make the corner bite and easily create separation. His fakes and hesitations are second nature and something to marvel at. Mayberry has the lateral quickness to win quickly and runs a diverse route tree. He is likely a natural slot receiver but lines up as a boundary receiver and does well due to his athletic skill set. Mayberry does well against bigger cornerbacks, isn't afraid to get dirty, will come down and block against the run, and is a physical run blocker. Due to his nature of finding ways to get open and winning, he is a natural safety blanket for a Quarterback.

Baggett is a twitchy athlete with good lateral quickness and speed. He lines up out wide and in the slot, which is his natural position. Baggett displays good ball-tracking and concentration skills. He is excellent with the ball in his hands and creating after the catch. He is deadly in open space, easily makes defenders miss, and gets upfield quickly. With a free release, Baggett is a headache for opposing defenses as he'll utilize his quick twitch and good head and jab fakes to get a corner on his heels. Baggett wins at all levels and is fun to watch work. His short area touches often create YAC opportunities and he has the speed and twitchiness to create separation and is snappy on his intermediate and deep routes. He is an exceptional slot receiver who creates a lot of mismatches and wins at all levels.

Those are some of the high profile playmaking wide receivers who will make an immediate splash for the 2025 season. Highly productive players who should get ample volume to facilitate exceptional production.

In this edition, we take a look at some high profile receivers in the state that should make a big impact this upcoming season
