On-campus recruiting for the #TN2026 class has begun with a multitude of guys taking in Junior Days on Saturday with a few landing new offers. The interest of Volunteer State players have increased over the past few years and you can see that with this weekend's visits.

Memphis Hosts In-State Players

- Several top level #TN2026 prospects stayed in state this weekend to see the Memphis Tigers and by all accounts, the players enjoyed their time down in the “Bluff City”. Most of the talent on hand on Saturday came from the Western region of the state but the Tigers did bring in a few guys from across the Volunteer State and made big impressions.

Local program Germantown was well represented as [player_tooltip player_id='1113841' first='Tre'von' last='McGory'], [player_tooltip player_id='425182' first='Andre' last='Amos, Jr'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1285551' first='Djidjou' last='Bah'] took in a Junior Day visit with the Tigers and appeared to have a good time. The Tigers have already offered McGory but the visit on Saturday might push Memphis closer to extending offers to both Amos, Jr and Bah.

Amos, Jr is a big boy that is doing good work right at developing his body further and making himself more appealing to college coaches. He is a definite “watch list” guy to follow over the coming months as I could see him take-off with his recruitment. Bah is an intriguing talent that brings versatility to the D-line. Standing 6 '3 250 pounds, the Red Devils lineman might fit best at defensive end but has the body style to grow and turn himself into a 3-tech defensive tackle.

One of the top O-linemen from our #TN2026 class in Cookeville rising senior [player_tooltip player_id='866469' first='Austin' last='Hoane'] visited Memphis on Saturday, where he already holds an offer from the Tigers and could be at the top of their most wanted list. The Cavs big man is well built physically with the skill set to play multiple positions across the offensive line, including either left or right tackle.

Another top level lineman to check out the Tigers this weekend was local product, [player_tooltip player_id='1104292' first='Cooper' last='Sherrod']. This Collierville interior O-lineman has checked out Memphis before but this visit might have helped the Tigers cause even further. Sherrod is a brute in the middle that translates best to college center but has the athleticism and versatility to play guard as well.

USJ running back [player_tooltip player_id='471474' first='LeKhy' last='Thompkins'] traveled West to check out the Tigers on Saturday and the visit appeared to go well. The Bruins rising senior holds multiple big offers but it's a good sign for Memphis that Thompkins visited them early, ahead of other suitors.

A prospect to watch over the coming months as someone that could blow up on the recruiting trail is Forrest edge linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1178947' first='Cohen' last='Grissom']. Sporting great bend and burst off the edge, the Rockets edge defender took in a Jr Day visit with Memphis on Saturday and you could see the Tigers sitting at the top of his list when it comes time to making a commitment.

Top Prospects Check out Vanderbilt

- Two top in-state prospects in [player_tooltip player_id='1114738' first='Jack' last='Fuchs'] (Beech) and [player_tooltip player_id='328897' first='Kolby' last='Barrett'] (Baylor) spent time in Nashville on Saturday with the Commodores with both guys holding offers from the Southeastern Conference program.

Vanderbilt recently extended offers to both Fuchs and Barrett but could become a contender for both. The Buccaneers big man brings the college size you want in the trenches and college programs are starting to take notice, especially with Fuchs landing recent offers from Indiana, Northwestern, Mississippi St and of course these Commodores.

Barrett is starting to come on as well. Vanderbilt jumped on board with their offer and might become a strong competitor for his services. The Dores might view Barrett as a perfect fit for their “star” position defense, which is a guy that plays closer to the line in run coverage but can also drop and play in coverage.

Tennessee Hosts Top In-State Recruits

- Two of the best Mid-Tennessee and top prospects in the state with [player_tooltip player_id='1281472' first='Joel' last='Wyatt'] (Webb Sch.) and 2027 FRA safety [player_tooltip player_id='903033' first='Omarii' last='Sanders'] traveled to Knoxville on Saturday to see the Vols and both appeared to come away very impressed. According to several accounts, both Wyatt and Sanders enjoyed their time on the “Hill”, seeing what the Volunteers were all about and gaining more knowledge about their program.

Wyatt has established himself as one of the top wideouts from our #TN2026 that has plenty of Power Fout programs hot on his trail. Tennessee could be a player however as they are a local program that has been active with Wyatt and potentially views him as a top starter in the near future.

Get to learn more about Sanders as he is on the verge of becoming a national prospect. Standing 6 '4 200 pounds, the Panthers rising junior has the physical look and size college coaches want but also has the athleticism and versatility to handle a couple of roles on the defensive side of the ball.

Sanders is being looked at right now as a safety but could easily grow into a linebacker over the next two years. He also may have one of the bigger ceilings of any prospect coming out of our #TN2027 class, so expect to hear more and more about this Mid-Tennessee prospect moving forward.

Williamson Co. Products Check out Miami Ohio

- Traveling up from the Mid-Tennessee area to see the Red Hawks, Brentwood teammates [player_tooltip player_id='1286232' first='Kyle' last='Nabrotzky'] and safety [player_tooltip player_id='1597026' first='Jackson' last='Allen'] along with Brentwood Academy linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1206237' first='Arkez' last='Fontenot'] took in Junior Day visits on Saturday with Miami Ohio and all three appeared to have a good time.

Starting with Fontenet, the Eagles rising senior linebacker already held an offer going into the visit with the Red Hawks and his time on campus might have pushed Miami Ohio higher up his board. Fontenet is an athletic backer that fits the inside well and he is still growing into body, so there is a lot of upside remaining for him to build into.

Nabrotzky made an impression with the Miami coaching staff on Saturday where they extended him his first ever official college offer. It won't be the last for this Williamson Co. defensive end as Nabrotzky has the size and athletic skill set that translates well to the next level. I'm excited to see where his development and recruitment goes because I see a lot of upside with the Bruins defender.

Allen is an under the radar prospect at the moment but shows flashes on film to become a college guy. It looks like the RedHawks may also see that potential as the Bruins safety visited Miami Ohio for Junior Day yesterday and seemed to enjoy his time on campus.
