Being a part of our rankings team, I have the opportunity to see all sorts of film. A guilty pleasure of mine in that process is that I get to highlight prospects with film that I absolutely enjoyed watching. In this piece, I do exactly that.

There might not be a more instinctual linebacker that we have across yet in the class of 2028 than [player_tooltip player_id='1087152' first='Amarion' last='Oliver']. Poised and disciplined beyond his years, we see the youngster eye his keys and fly to the ball as a result, often getting over the top of play to corral 'backs with ease. A youth coach along the line impressed upon an younger Oliver that you are to run through the man - and that is exactly what he does. Oliver runs full speed and through contact, ensuring ball carriers crumble in the process. We see the emergence of the rip to disengage with blockers. As great as that is, I would like to see Oliver's pad level improve and for him to shoulder/leverage tackle. He looks good sniffing out the short, lateral passing game. Absent from his film is him covering both zone and man assignments.

Running backs are often one of the hardest to evaluate at the younger levels as they are typically their team's best athlete. In other words, add another uber-athletic prospect to Bergen Catholic's roster with [player_tooltip player_id='1272566' first='Anthony' last='Cristiano Jr.'] Used very frequently in the screen game, Cristiano showcases soft hands and the profile of a tough runner. we see him lower his shoulder and also take multiple defenders for a ride on his back. Not lost upon him his speed, were we see Cristiano gain the sideline and also possessing the ability to skate across the grain when needed to. In the later levels of a defense Cristiano will manipulate his speed to gain yardage and expose defenders in over pursuit.

Camden featured [player_tooltip player_id='1140610' first='Anthony' last='Nelson'] this year in their varisty lineup. Despite often being the last lineman with his hand in the dirt and set, we see Nelson have an above-average get off. He is able to shed blocks, utilizing the rip move very well. A forceful tackler, he does so high but appears to hit opponents like a ton of bricks. When doubled or pass rushing, we see Nelson work through half-a-man - something even seniors struggle with. Nelson's game seems to revolve around penetration rather than owning the line of scrimmage, as evidenced by his motor in the backfield. We have yet to see him neither pursue sideline-to-sideline nor take on traps and spill.
