The Class of 2025 received its long-overdue winter update, featuring over 615 players, including 60 new names and 455 ranked players. Barring any major change-ups or new players on the radar, this should be the last time we update the 2025 rankings, making this a bit of a bittersweet update.

The Class of 2025 is the first class that I've evaluated from freshman to senior year, and I will say that the growth of these guys, not just as players but as people outside of football, has been tremendous. There are a lot of great kids who have proven to be leaders on and off the field with the work they put in to give back to their schools and communities.

Now, for a look at the player rankings. It's not a surprise who came in at #1, as Omaha Westside's [player_tooltip player_id='305111' first='Christian' last='Jones'] maintained his grasp on the top spot. Christian has sat at the top of the class since his sophomore season and has not given it up, showing constant improvement and development as a prospect. Jones became a very highly-touted national recruit who drew attention from programs spanning the entire country. Ultimately, Jones decided to continue the family legacy with his commitment/signing to Nebraska. Jones ends his prep career with three consecutive state championship appearances, winning two, over 150 tackles, 27 TFLs, and 14 turnovers. Christian was also the sole representative from Nebraska at the Navy All-American Bowl.

At the number two spot is Millard South's high-flying tight end [player_tooltip player_id='319200' first='Chase' last='Loftin']. Chase joined the Millard South Patriots before his senior year and quickly inserted himself as one of the go-to guys in the passing game. He ended his senior campaign with 57 receptions for 837 yards and 12 touchdowns, leading the Patriots in all three categories and winning the Class A state championship. Loftin's versatility as a pass catcher made him truly difficult to gameplan against, as he can be moved across the formation to create mismatches. When decision time came, Chase stuck to his commitment to Florida State despite some last pushes.

Rounding out the top three is Millard North's [player_tooltip player_id='301713' first='Pierce' last='Mooberry'], who has been the unicorn of the 2025 class since he first arrived on the high school scene. Pierce is an uber-versatile playmaker who can strike as a tight end and can play in all three levels on the defensive side of the ball. Since his freshman season, we've seen Mooberry play defensive end, outside linebacker, EDGE, and safety. Pierce will join his teammate VerMaas in Lincoln after signing with the hometown Huskers.
