2027 Rankings Update 3.0: Quarterback

The most recent class to be updated is the class of 2027. With this update being officially posted, I will be taking the next couple weeks or so to break our rankings down by position. As a sophomore, Goodin completed 172/319 passes for 2,189 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 10 games. Kade has a strong arm which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He has also shown the ability to escape pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Goodin also showed the speed and elusiveness to pose as a serious threat as a ball carrier, finishing his sophomore season with 151 carries for 861 yards and 13 touchdowns. Johnson had an impress sophomore year, completing 162/296 passes for 2,001 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 14 games. He throws an impressive deep ball, using his arm strength to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride. Johnson has also shown solid accuracy, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receiver can catch it. He also scored one rushing touchdown this past season. Queen spent last season at Covington Catholic where he served as a backup quarterback but he shows a ton of promise when studying his film. Emmett has a very strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. He also has shown impressive ball placement, putting the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver can get to it. Queen picked up an offer from Kentucky as a freshman and has received some solid interest from college coaches. In his first full season as a starter, Mack completed 107/169 passes for 1,466 yards, 19 touchdowns, and three interceptions in 12 games. Kaden has a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. He has also shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to hit receivers out of their breaks so that they can make catches in stride. Kaden also showed true dual-threat ability this past season, finishing the year with 81 carries for 255 yards and four touchdowns. Carothers served as the backup quarterback for Owensboro Catholic this past season but was impressive when on the field, completing 39/68 passes for 701 yards, eight touchdowns, and one interception in 15 games. Dre'Mail throws a very impressive deep ball, using his arm strength to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride. He is also a very accurate passer in the short passing game, using his arm strength to zip passes into tight coverage and showing the quick release to hit receivers out of their breaks. Carothers doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to watch closely as he moves into the starting role as a junior. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
