2025 Rankings Update: Impressive LBs Added to Our List

Renfroe is excellent at carrying out his assignments and can do so many things really well- he's a force against the run, is a highly effective blitzer, and can even make some plays on the ball out in coverage. He plays with a ton of speed, instincts, and strength he uses to fly around from sideline to sideline and make tons of tackles against a variety of talented players. Renfroe put up some ridiculous stats for his defense last fall- ending the year with 119 total tackles (87 solo, 15.5 for loss), 10.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and one interception. Gulde is a quick, instinctual player who thrives off his ability to read and react to plays. Gulde is excellent at identifying plays- as soon as the ball is snapped he quickly recognizes where the play is headed, puts himself in a great position, and makes plays. It's really impressive watching him play against the run- he consistently flies through the line of scrimmage into the backfield to make tackles for loss no matter how talented the opposing offensive line is. Gulde put up some ridiculous numbers throughout his senior season this fall, ending the season with 202 total tackles (118 solo, 21 for loss) 3 sacks, 7 hurries, one interception, and two forced fumbles. Piner is dominant against the run- he quickly fills in gaps and is a physical tackler at the line of scrimmage that doesn't allow running backs to break off any huge carries. Piner also plays with a ton of speed, which comes useful when he's blitzing. Piner is extremely effective going downfield- he tears straight through offensive linemen to make huge plays in the backfield against both the run and quarterbacks in the passing game. All of this and more showed up on Piner's tape, he has come a long way in his development and was a huge obstacle for opposing offenses to try and avoid. Piner had his best season yet last fall, ending the year with 123 total tackles (74 solo, 15 for loss), 26 hurries, and 5 sacks. It was really impressive watching Piner's tape from last season, be sure to check it out below! Kelley is a dominant tackler with a ton of good traits- he plays with some ridiculous strength and can completely lay out the ball carrier. Kelley is quick to react and can shut down the run with ease- he flies to the ball and will either dish out a devastating hit or wrap him up with ease to make huge stops. Kelley also can create game-changing turnovers, he's really talented at ripping the ball out of the ball carrier's hands, and did so multiple times this past season. Kelley ended the year with 50 total tackles (29 solo, 8 for loss) 5 hurries, one sack, and 2 forced fumbles. Brothers is an extremely instinctual player who always finds himself near the ball impacting plays. On film, Brothers is a heat-seeking missile that can make sideline-to-sideline plays against some really talented offenses. It's really impressive seeing how he can flip the field, numerous times throughout his season he came away with turnovers, forcing fumbles and picking off opposing QBs. Brothers is also a really reliable tackler, once he makes contact, he's near impossible to shake off and will take you down. Brothers had a really strong senior season- ending the year with 66 total tackles (25 solo, 5 for loss) one interception, and 2 forced fumbles.
