There were some impressive players that rocked out the year as outstanding athletes, including a large amount of underclassmen that shined among the best of the best to boost their resume going forward. All of these players were gathered together to create Prep Redzone's All-State Team for Class 2A Iowa from the 2024 season!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>First Team Offense:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>QB:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1286491' first='Caden' last='Lundt'], SR, Spirit Lake</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the best overall QBs from Iowa in 2024, [player_tooltip player_id='1286491' first='Caden' last='Lundt'] led Class 2A in several passing categories. His 39 touchdown passes were tied for the most among all QBs in the state this season, and he finished third among all Iowa QBs in passing yards (2743). His 108.5 tackles ranked as the most among all Class-2A defenders last season, while his 22.5 TFLs ranked 3rd most in Class 2A in 2024. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>JD Schneider, SR, Spirit Lake</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the brightest standouts of a loaded Spirit Lake roster, Schneider finished with a team-high 97 tackles, and his 85 solo tackles ranked as the most among all Class-2A defenders in 2024. Glynn broke out with 6 interceptions as the Knights advanced to the state quarterfinal round. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Nate Fischer, SR, Anamosa</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fischer leaves Anamosa with 10 career interceptions with the program. 5 of those picks came this year, with one returned to the house as Fischer guided Anamosa to their highest win total since 2015. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>First Team Special Teams:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>K:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1286617' first='Adlai' last='Lounsbury'], SR, Van Meter</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Easily the best long-range Placekicker in Iowa right now, Lounsbury finished 2024 going 6 of 7 on field goals with a season-long of 54 yards, and went 59 of 63 on extra points. Class 2A was a group in Iowa that had been overlooked during the season, but they had left a strong mark in the high school football landscape in Iowa this season. There were some impressive players that rocked out the year as outstanding athletes, including a large amount of underclassmen that shined among the best of the best to boost their resume going forward. All of these players were gathered together to create Prep Redzone's All-State Team for Class 2A Iowa from the 2024 season!
