[player_tooltip player_id='1006490' first='Jamarion' last='Matthews'] is an explosive DE out of Sparkman who dominated 7A offensive lines all season long this fall. Matthews, a junior, is a dominant pass rusher who has really taken a big step this season-he can beat offensive linemen with a wide variety of pass rush moves, plays with a ton of speed and strength, and has a motor that allows him to consistently generate pressure/take down the quarterback throughout all four quarters. Matthews is dominant against the run- he does a great job closing up rushing lanes and easily sheds off blockers to make plays on the ball carrier at or behind the line of scrimmage. Matthews was unstoppable this season, he ended his junior campaign with 57 total tackles (38 solo, 29 for loss), 15 hurries, 17 sacks, and one forced fumble. Keep an eye on Matthews going into next season, he's playing like one of the top players in the entire state, and has a massive senior season to look forward to!

[player_tooltip player_id='828367' first='Robert' last='Taylor III'] is one of the top up-and-coming defensive linemen in the state- as a sophomore, he's been unstoppable in the 6A and is only going to keep getting better. Taylor is a dominant force off the edge- he has a terrific first step, has great speed and strength, and does an excellent at pursuing after the ball carrier/quarterback. No matter what opposing offenses are attempting to run, Taylor finds ways to make their lives a lot more difficult. He consistently finds ways into the backfield every snap, whether it be against the run of pass- the athleticism he possesses and plays with makes it incredibly difficult for offensive linemen to contain him. Taylor continued his early success with Parker this fall in a massive sophomore season- he ended the year with 56 total tackles (41 solo, 16.5 for loss), 18 sacks, and one fumble recovery. Be sure to keep track of Taylor next season, he's been unbelievable as an underclassman and is set up for a huge junior season this fall!

[player_tooltip player_id='1183243' first='Cam' last='Mallory'] has been a force on Moody's defensive line in back-to-back seasons, the junior DE had a terrific year in the 5A this fall, and he's not slowing down anytime soon. Mallory is a guy that eats up space and can wreck a ton of havoc in opposing backfields each snap, and he has the numbers to prove it. It doesn't matter if it's a run or pass, Mallory can explode off the ball to make plays and has some incredibly impressive strength, power, and pursuit skills that allow him to be a monster out on the field. Mallory had another dominant season on Moody's defensive line this season where he recorded 96 total tackles (50 solo, 22 for loss), 13 hurries, 12 sacks, and one forced fumble. It's been extremely impressive watching Mallory these last two seasons, be sure to watch him next fall in his senior year, he's going to be hard to miss!

[player_tooltip player_id='1590909' first='Tae' last='Diamond'] is an explosive senior defensive lineman who brought a ton of juice to Cherokee County's defensive front this fall. Diamond, a prolific pass rusher, was one of the top sack artists in the state last fall- consistently creating huge plays against the pass and in the backfield all year long. Diamond plays with a ton of speed and physicality- he completely overwhelms offensive linemen with his quickness and power, can easily pursue after the ball carrier, and is a constant game-changer when he's rushing the passer. Diamond causes all sorts of issues against opposing passing attacks, generating pressure and delivering huge hits to the quarterback no matter who he's facing off against. Diamond had a huge senior season last fall- ending his year with 84 total tackles (38 for loss), 21 sacks, and 6 forced fumbles on the year. Coaches, take a look at this guys tape- he has plenty to offer!

[player_tooltip player_id='1347177' first='Reggis' last='Shamberger'] is a really talented DL out of Excel who caught our attention over the summer- and man, he had a heck of a senior season this fall. It's really impressive watching Shamberger play against the run- he does a terrific job utilizing his size to eat up space, has some great pursuit, and frequently can beat offensive linemen at the line of scrimmage to make tackles for loss. When he's rushing the passer, Shamberger does a great job generating pressure and placing hits on the quarterback. He has a wide variety of pass-rush moves and some serious athleticism he uses to his advantage to consistently beat offensive linemen. Shamberger had a massive senior season for Excel this fall, recording 50 total tackles (21 for loss), 7 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Watch out for Shamberger next season at Troy- with his talent, we could see him be an early contributor at the next level!

[player_tooltip player_id='1333088' first='Baylor' last='Clayton'] had an unbelievable season for Reeltown's defensive line this fall, what he was able to accomplish in the 2A is exactly why he's landed as our pick this year. Throughout his career at Reeltown, Clayton was able to make plays at several positions but was most dominant on the defensive line. At defensive end, Clayton was near unstoppable- consistently making huge plays as a pass rusher and against the run. Clayton has great speed off the line of scrimmage and has strength/power that completely overwhelms offensive linemen off the snap- he can bull rush, rip, or spin around offensive tackles with ease to then make plays in the backfield. It was easy to see this in Clayton's film- he was a constant game-wrecker for his defense this year- ending the season with 102 total tackles (82 solo, 31 for loss), 23.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries. Coaches- be sure to give Clayton a watch! He's an impressive defensive lineman with a great motor, great pass-rush skills, and a ton of potential!

[player_tooltip player_id='1590915' first='Jermarcus' last='Webb'] is an explosive defensive lineman out of Central (Hayneville) who had an unbelievable senior season in the 1A this fall. Webb, a talented dual sport athlete in football and baseball, was huge for Central's defense this season and consistently made plays in the opposing backfield all year long. Webb has a great burst and first step off the line of scrimmage has a great set of pass-rushing moves and can affect both the run and pass in some big ways every time he's on the field. It was easy to see this this past season- Webb ended his senior campaign with some of his best stats yet, recording 70 total tackles (46 solo, 16 for loss), 9 sacks, and one forced/recovered fumble. [player_tooltip player_id='1590915' first='Jermarcus' last='Webb'] has been highly productive for Central's defense these last few years-coaches, take a look at this kid, he has a lot to offer!
