2024 All-State Selections from WNY (Class B)

First Team   RB [player_tooltip player_id='806592' first='Adam' last='Nunes'] (South Park) - Nunes won the Connolly Cup in his senior season after a breakout year where he ran for 2,468 yards; including a NYS record 593 in one game.   OL Ty Richardson (Pioneer) - A Trench Trophy finalist, Richardson has sound awareness and is exceptionally quick for a player at 6'3 300 lbs.   DL [player_tooltip player_id='806443' first='Sam' last='Ikegwuonu'] (Lackawanna) - The 2024 Trench Trophy winner as WNY's best lineman, Ikegwuonu has all the tools to be a dominant player at the next level.   LB Jeremiah Shuford (Health Sciences) - It's hard to see the Falcons winning the Section VI title without Shuford. Jeremiah had a breakout year and was a fantastic OL. He was also a dominant MLB.   Second Team   QB [player_tooltip player_id='473979' first='Justus' last='Kleitz'] (Iroquois) - Kleitz broke the all time passing record in Section VI this season and that number will continue to grow as he is in his junior season.   RB [player_tooltip player_id='1202404' first='Tyrone' last='Clark Jr'] (Lackawanna) - Big, fast and physical, Clark checks all the boxes to be a premier back and in just his sophomore season, he is only scratching the surface.   WR [player_tooltip player_id='735840' first='Nick' last='Skutnik'] (Iroquois) - A prototypical slot receiver with solid hands and the ability to turn a short pass into a long gain.   OL [player_tooltip player_id='806942' first='Joe' last='Lipski'] (Williamsville South) - A versatile lineman that was also used as a Fullback and can play the LB position on defense.   DL [player_tooltip player_id='747246' first='Laferald' last='Hines Jr'] (Lackawanna) - A complete DE that can play the run and rush the passer equally, Hines recorded 25.5 sacks in his final 2 years at Lackawanna.   DL [player_tooltip player_id='806984' first='Sam' last='Platt'] (Pioneer) - A big, physical game changer that was also a major contributor on offense as a TE.   LB [player_tooltip player_id='1568113' first='Karter' last='Giboo'] (Pioneer) - A do-it-all kind of player that was just as effective as a RB as he was on defense.   LB [player_tooltip player_id='1624501' first='Alante' last='Green'] (Health Sciences) - A dynamic, playmaking DB that led Section VI with 8 INTs.   Third Team   WR [player_tooltip player_id='648843' first='Gavin' last='Dundon'] (Iroquois) - A jack-of-all-trades, Dundon had a huge senior season with 1,000 yards receiving while adding 65 tackles and an INT on defense. He was also exceptional in the return game.   WR [player_tooltip player_id='1513194' first='Brandon' last='Mickell'] (Health Sciences) - A multi-talented asset to the Falcons, Mickell was an exceptional runner, receiver and returner for the team.   Fourth Team   RB [player_tooltip player_id='1212763' first='Kaivohn' last='Pitts'] (Health Sciences) - Pitts led the Health Science's three headed backfield this season and was exceptional in their State playoff run.   OL [player_tooltip player_id='807030' first='Yianni' last='Moore'] (Maryvale) - A solid OL prospect that is quick off the ball and has good hand placement.   P/K Logan Fleischman (Pioneer) - Went 33/40 on Extra Points.   LB [player_tooltip player_id='1347388' first='Avery' last='Cruz'] (Maryvale) - A versatile LB that has led Maryvale in tackles each of the last two seasons.   Fifth Team   QB [player_tooltip player_id='806982' first='Gavin' last='Schwab'] (Pioneer) - Strong arm and good accuracy with great leadership qualities.   ATH [player_tooltip player_id='648806' first='Amir' last='Douglas'] (Lackawanna) - A 4 year varsity starter that made his impact felt at RB, LB and in the return game.   DL [player_tooltip player_id='806943' first='Max' last='Weinrieb'] (Williamsville South) - A massive presence on the interior line, Max can eat up blocks better than anyone and he plays with a lot of determination.   Sixth Team   QB Jaxsyn Moritz (Maryvale) - Athletic QB that had a major breakout campaign where he was a Connolly Cup Player of the Week twice.   RB [player_tooltip player_id='1742403' first='Amir' last='Ceasar'] (Williamsville South) - A quick RB with a low center of gravity that had a big season in his first year as the Billies' lead back.   OL Joe Sacco (South Park) - A 300 lb. Guard with excellent strength and guided the Sparks' record setting rushing attack.   LB [player_tooltip player_id='806966' first='Dominic' last='Nucci'] (Grand Island) - A solid run stuffer with a big body in the middle of the defense.   DB [player_tooltip player_id='1653148' first='Keshaun' last='Joiner'] (Health Sciences) - An intuitive DB, this is Jointer's first season on the All-State team.   Honorable mention   QB [player_tooltip player_id='505857' first='Joe' last='Mest'] (Olean) - A dual threat QB with extraordinary athleticism.   RB [player_tooltip player_id='807029' first='Brayden' last='Tryon'] (Maryvale) - Tryon's senior year was a down one but this is a players with fantastic intuition and is an electrifying playmaker.   WR [player_tooltip player_id='735835' first='Sam' last='Donovan'] (Iroquois) - 763 yards and 8 TDs are pretty good numbers for a #3 WR. Donovan is a solid route runner that can stretch the field vertically or go over the middle.   WR Semaj Summerour (Health Sciences) - Somewhat of an unsung hero for the Falcons, Summerour is a fantastic WR with excellent speed and a devastating vertical leap.   WR [player_tooltip player_id='1344697' first='Evan' last='Zankl'] (Williamsville South) - A versatile WR with excellent route running ability and very good hands.   OL Joseph Holman (Health Sciences) - A two-way stud at OL and LB, Holman had a solid junior year on both sides of the ball.   OL [player_tooltip player_id='1283641' first='Demarious' last='Hood'] (South Park) - A physical lineman that attacks with aggression and had a massive breakout year in his first season at South Park.   OL Nick Krey (Kenmore East) - A big bodied OT that helped the Bulldogs put together a strong performance on the ground.   OL Ryan Lavery (Pioneer) - A high motor OL that was named as a Trench Trophy finalist.   OL [player_tooltip player_id='1738254' first='Mason' last='McGloin'] (Depew) - Good pass protector that can drive block just as well.   OL Tyjuan Moye (Health Sciences) - A starter on both sides of the line, Moye had a breakout sophomore season.   OL [player_tooltip player_id='1579067' first='Anthony' last='Vaccaro'] (Grand Island) - A two way lineman with a big frame, Vaccaro is quick for a player that size and has good strength.   LB [player_tooltip player_id='806434' first='Noah' last='Gallo'] (Olean) - A solid Inside LB with impeccable technique.   P/K Declan Coleman (Williamsville South) - Went 20/22 on extra points.   P/K Lauryn McCracken (Dunkirk) - Points were hard to come by for Dunkirk but McCracken did show a strong leg with good accuracy when called upon.   P/K Logan Stressinger (Springville) - 16/17 on extra points while averaging nearly 32 yards per punts and registering 5 touchbacks from kickoffs.   P/K [player_tooltip player_id='1513363' first='Kole' last='Szratter'] (Depew) - Szratter did convert 14 extra points but his main position is QB where he showed good decision making and solid athleticism in his first year as the starter.
