Now that the book has been closed on a memorable 2024 season, we'll be transitioning into our offseason content. Over the next several weeks prospects from the Class of ‘25 will be receiving an ample amount of coverage with National Signing Day quickly approaching. In this report though, we'll be taking a look back at some juniors that elevated their play during the ‘24 campaign. More specifically junior wideouts.

After reporting on the receiver group this past fall, it's evident the Class of ‘26 has plenty of depth at the position. For now it is headlined by prospects like [player_tooltip player_id='780113' first='Tyren' last='Parker'] and [player_tooltip player_id='810275' first='Ayden' last='McGibboney']. But by the time we start to preview the 2025 season, there's likely to be more wideouts from this class that catch the eyes of recruiters. This group of 12 features some that recruiters should remember heading into next year.

Class 6A

[player_tooltip player_id='1401801' first='Jaxon' last='Becker'] - Lawrence, 6'1”, 175

Becker was added to the rankings at the beginning of the ‘24 campaign, and after making a great impression this season he's due for a higher rank. He played well during his first varsity season in 2023, but this year he established himself as the No. 1 wideout for the Chesty Lions. The 6-foot-1 junior led Lawrence with 55 catches for 720 yards and seven touchdowns. His standout year earned him a 1st Team All-League selection.

[player_tooltip player_id='904443' first='Chase' last='Carter'] - Wichita NW, 6'3”, 200

This next wideout is one that should draw serious interest from several collegiate programs next year. Carter was one of the top wideouts in the Wichita area this season, and was arguably one the most explosive receivers in the state as well. He earned 1st Team All-League honors after hauling in 25 receptions for 712 yards and 12 scores.

Class 5A

[player_tooltip player_id='1573511' first='AJ' last='Gallegos'] - Shawnee Heights, 5'10”, 160, Unranked

Gallegos is a prime candidate for the next class update after the season he put together. He finished second on the team in receiving behind [player_tooltip player_id='780113' first='Tyren' last='Parker'] with 842 yards. Gallegos also recorded 52 receptions and hit pay dirt 10 times. He and Parker are sure to be one of the top receiving duos in the state once again during the ‘25 campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115792' first='James' last='Fieser'] - Liberal, 6'3”, 180

Liberal fed Fieser the ball early and often this season, and as a result he led his team in receiving by a wide margin. Fieser finished his junior year with 33 catches for 783 yards and nine scores. He's another prospect that should generate some recruiting buzz next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1573517' first='Hayden' last='Nall'] - Eisenhower, 6'0”, 165, Unranked

It's been well documented just how impressive Eisenhower's passing attack was this season. But not enough folks have talked about the season [player_tooltip player_id='1573517' first='Hayden' last='Nall'] had. Nall quietly finished second on his team in receiving with 31 catches, 570 yards, and five touchdowns. With [player_tooltip player_id='442660' first='Carter' last='Pabst'] set to graduate, Nall will have a great opportunity to become Eisenhower's No. 1 target during his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1114730' first='Nash' last='Morrison'] - Basehor-Linwood, 6'4”, 175

Morrison was a prospect our staff praised multiple times before the start of the season, and he definitely lived up to the hype. He went from recording just nine catches as a sophomore to becoming Basehor's top pass-catcher as a junior. Morrison snagged 42 balls for 551 yards and nine touchdowns. This earned him an All-League Honorable Mention nod.

Class 4A

[player_tooltip player_id='1322071' first='Brecken' last='Albert'] - Augusta, 6'2”, 170

Albert ended the ‘24 campaign as a Top 10 wideout in Class 4A. He led all juniors in Class 4A with 778 yards and an average of 86.4 yards per game. Look for him to once again be Augusta's top receiver next season, and one of the top pass-catchers in Class 4A.

[player_tooltip player_id='1573523' first='Joshua' last='Abrams'] - Ark City, 6'0”, 170, Unranked

Abram's didn't quite rack up as many yards as Albert, but he was also one of the top junior wideouts in Class 4A this season. He nearly led Ark City in receiving with 498 yards, but he did lead his team with an impressive 16 yards per catch. If his role expands next season, look out, because he's capable of doing some serious damage.

Class 3A

Yamnoel Oyola - Trinity, 5'8”, 160, Unranked

Not many people may know, but there are a handful of junior wideouts from the lower classification levels that have been contributors at the varsity level since their freshman year. Oyola is one of those players and he took a big step forward this season. He was one of the top junior wideouts in Class 3A with 603 yards and six touchdowns. Oyola has proven to be a sure handed receiver and his 101 career receptions can back that up.

Class 2A

[player_tooltip player_id='1515794' first='Walker' last='Middleton'] - Russell, 5'5”, 150

Middleton falls into the same group as Oyola. However, Middleton has established himself as arguably the top small-town prospect in the Class of ‘26. He had relatively the same amount of receptions as he did a year ago, but he racked up nearly 200 more receiving yards compared to his sophomore campaign. Through three varsity seasons he's accumulated over 2,700 all-purpose yards and 21 total touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='1573526' first='Quenten' last='Stark'] - Osage City, 6'3”, 170, Unranked

Stark finished the 2024 campaign closely behind Middleton as the third leading receiver in Class 2A with 723 yards. This season also made it back-to-back years for him as the leading receiver for Osage City. The 6-foot-2 wideout will have the opportunity to eclipse 2,000 career receiving yards in 2025.

Class 1A

Mario Davis - Pleasanton, 5'11”, 170, Unranked

The Pleasanton Blu-Jays expanded Davis' role this past fall and he responded with a strong season. Davis was one of the top junior wideouts in Class 1A this year, and he emerged as Pleasanton's top pass-catcher. He hauled in 45 passes for 641 yards and six touchdowns. The junior is also talented on the hardwood, as he averaged around 17 a game during his sophomore year.
