With much of the event's groundwork already laid, it is time to discuss who-I-saw-do-what while at Sunday's Stock Up Showcase. Below are personal scouting notes from the action I witnessed.

Scouts Notes: Wide Receivers

It was not until days after the event when I reconciled my notes that I learned it was [player_tooltip player_id='1575530' first='Nolan' last='Escobar'] that was twisting, turning, and contorting his body all sorts of ways during the showcase. Escobar showed that he can make finger tip grabs, showcasing his catch radius and willingness to make the play in the process. Escobar's finest moment, however, was on a deep bomb where he had to turn over the opposite shoulder with his arms extended, adjust, go belly-up, and maintain possession of the ball to the ground. Unfortunately Escobar got banged up some and the on-site trainer took precautionary measures to hold him out, despite Escobar's willingness to keep balling.... Speaking of adjustments, [player_tooltip player_id='1575516' first='Julian' last='Febres'] did an excellent job of this as well. Febres showed an astute ability to track the ball by changing his speed, adjusting his body, altering his hand placement, and going up high/low/ahead/behind to snag the ball.... The first glimpse I saw of [player_tooltip player_id='1575748' first='Justin' last='Rizzo-Troxell'] was a blur. Only when I checked my roster did I realize that this blur had a name. Rizzo-Troxell had an explosive release, wasting no time at all pushing upfield and getting his matchup on skates. Additionally, that pressure eventually turned into a burst when he broke off his route's stem.

At first sight I did not expect [player_tooltip player_id='1575773' first='Colin' last='O'Meara'] to be much of a mover; however, as the day went on he impressed me with his physical ability. O'Meara had some speed, but what really showed through was his quickness when running in-and-out of his routes.... Speaking of quickness, that must be the name of [player_tooltip player_id='1575783' first='Garrison' last='Brown']'s game. A bit on the smaller side, Brown knows what his strengths are and plays to them. Brown was a bit on the smaller side, but shined as he played within himself and his abilities, abusing defenders with his super-quick, subtle movements.... There is quick and then there is fast. Aaron Gonzalez show the ability to quickly attack defenders vertically with his fast speed. With each stride, Gonzalez gained a lot of ground and threatened defenders who were not confident in their backpedal nor balanced.

Perhaps the single rep that stood out to me the most was that of [player_tooltip player_id='1208805' first='Jordyn' last='Eaton']. Although it was a simple in-breaking route, Eaton broke his stem very nicely, sinking his hips to put himself in a 360 degree threat position. From there he regained speed quickly, accelerating and bursting through the middle. As I tracked Eaton throughout the afternoon, I noticed that he had strong hands and a solid build. All this was compounded and expounded upon by his top-notch technique.
