Stock Up Showcase, Positional Notes: Defensive Linemen, Part I

Below are personal scouting notes from the action I witnessed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Scout's Notes: Defensive Linemen</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Leading off is a prospect whose film and performance I really liked when we went through player rankings last time, Triton's [player_tooltip player_id='1257662' first='Jaiden' last='Moore']. Having the chance to see him life, at first I thought there <em>might </em>be a burst or twitchiness to him; however, as the event rolled on and the reps increased there absolutely <em>was </em>a twitchy burst owned by Moore. Moore's quick, twitchiness made him a tough-out with each rep he took. Moore was a very quick, interior lineman who demonstrated a tremendous rip/slant when rushing the passer.... [player_tooltip player_id='1575795' first='Jeremy' last='Noel'] was a prospect that I found myself consistently rooting for throughout the afternoon. Noel has a good, athletic build to his frame and uses his speed rush to the outside well. As the afternoon wore on I noticed him attacking and lifting/chopping away at the arms of his offensive matchup. Lastly, if the speed rush is his "fastball," I would encourage Noel to develop a change up - but more importantly - pass rush with a plan.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The last two prospects for today's evaluation are [player_tooltip player_id='1575801' first='Kamauri' last='Guinyard'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1355473' first='Declan' last='O'Meara']. Both, to me, seemed a bit out of position. Registered and competing at linebacker, they did their best to compete and hold their own. However, their relative size and ability to move compared to other linebackers make me of the opinion that the should either have their hands in the dirt as true defensive ends, or they are stand-up, edge players in odd fronts.
