Martinez is a classic pocket quarterback. He has good mechanics and footwork and delivers a good football to his receivers. He does an excellent job of reading the defense and then throwing a timely ball. He is also a good athlete who can run for first downs. He is good at designed quarterback run plays, or when the plays break down, he runs for big plays. He has always had the tools to be a successful quarterback, but this season he seemed to settle down in the pocket and throw a good ball. He has one of the strongest arms and he does a great job throwing the ball deep. His accuracy improved as the season went on. He also did a good job reading the defense and delivering a football. His ability to get into his drop, set his feet, and throw the ball is one of the best films you see in Pennsylvania. He is like a machine in the pocket the way he processes a defense and then delivers a good football. His mechanics are excellent, and he constantly throws a good ball into tight windows. He constantly makes plays in the run game and the passing game for his team. As a thrower of football, he has a great compact delivery. His footwork and mechanics are excellent. His accuracy is good, especially in breaking routes. Evans is good when the play breaks down, as he can make plays with his feet when his team needs it. What I love about his film is how he can make every throw. He is great in the pocket and constantly throws a good ball to his receivers. He processes the defensive looks quickly and knows exactly where he wants to go with the football. He throws one of the best deepest balls you ever see, as he puts the perfect amount of touch on the ball. In the pocket, he does a good job reading the defense and delivering the ball. He has a great feel for the pocket when he throws the ball or when the play breaks down and he needs to run. He is also good at designed run plays from his quarterback position.
