BROOKLYN PARK-- We move along to the second session of our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase and debut the first batch of wide receivers and tight ends that had our full attention last Sunday at the Park Center Dome. Talk about a group that has some great upside in brewing in the 2026 and 2027 classes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1250092' first='Henry' last='Condon'], WR/TE, St. Cloud Tech 2027 Twitter

Henry was one of the first prospects in the second session that caught my attention with the eye test alone which is easy to see why as he is our WR1 in the 2027 class. With his legit 6'5 195 pound frame he showed off a massive catch radius in the reps I watched on Sunday and it was evident that this young man could win the 1v1 battles against smaller defensive backs with his length and athleticism alone. I love this young man's upside he has to grow in the 2027 class with his speed and change of direction as a big-bodied hybrid tight end/wide receiver out of St. Cloud Tech.

[player_tooltip player_id='1255913' first='Calen' last='Truckenbrod'], WR, Spring Lake Park 2026 Twitter

Calen was another early eye test wide receiver that grabbed my attention in the second session with his dexterity he brought to the showcase with his 6'4 frame. He showed off sound change of direction in testing with a 7.5 in the L-drill at 6'4 210 pounds and from what I could gauge, the fluidity was surely shown in the live eval I got from Calen. Later in the Indy and 1v1 reps, that fludity continued to check my boxes with his route-running as Calen is a wide receiver with limited tape I was impressed with the live eval reps I got from his hands, balance, etc. as one that I feel has a ton fo upside left to show off.

[player_tooltip player_id='551383' first='Logan' last='O'Dea'], TE, St. Louis Park 2026 Twitter

Logan showed off as another tight end that intrigued me from our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase and was another one that flashed his skillsets early by the eye test and later in reps. He came in with honest measurables at 6'5 230 pounds and what was impressive in the early reps was how flexible his athleticism looked to be at that size and surely showed off all the length he had at his disposal. He carried every ounce of his frame with his route-running ability and I liked the fluidity he showed off in his reps as a route runner with sizable hand size at tight end. He also shows on tape that he is an excellent pass-blocker with great technique with his hands and pad-level. He surely was one of the most impressive tight ends we had at our showcase, as he is just one of couple that caught my eyes as one that would be a great fit for playing on Saturdays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581353' first='Cooper' last='Broman'], WR, Annandale 2027 Twitter

Cooper was one of the more under the radar wide receivers in my eyes at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase that left an early impact in my eyes with his great upside brewing. He flashed the good athleticism in the reps I got to watch early and was a wide receiver that flashed with his change of direction on his routes in the later reps of our showcase, which matched with what I caught of his pro agility which was recorded as a 4.53. I also liked the instincts the light tape Cooper showed off in the open field as a Central Minnesota WR to watch for out of Annandale in the coming years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1120525' first='Coby' last='Hammell'], WR, Caledona 2027 Twitter

Coby stuck out as yet another athlete from the athletic factory from the Caledonia Warriors that intrigued me on Sunday. Not only did he flash the honest measurables at 6'3 185 pounds, but he showed off that he has the athletic traits built well for his age as just a 2027 wide receiver at the moment. This young man was one of the smoother wide receivers with his change of direction from what I gauged in testing and live reps as he showed off plenty of smooth athletic movement in his route-running. Coby is surely a prospect that when he is 1v1 against a defensive back you let him use his vertical and big athletic frame to go up and get the ball. I'll be intrigued to surely see what his sophomore tape looks like coming out cause I love this kid's upside a lot.

[player_tooltip player_id='652574' first='Darren' last='Nyanyuki'], WR, Anoka 2027 Twitter

It was a solid day for those Anoka Tornadoes 2027 prospects at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase as wide receiver Darren Nyanuki was another that caught my attention on Sunday. He showed off the explosive traits that is at his disposal jumping 9'1 at over 6'1 160 pounds. Darren also from the live eval I got on Sunday. Darren also showed off a long lower body from my eye test on Sunday which was seen in some of the seperation ability he was able to get in the reps I got to watch. He showed off an intriguing twitch at his release point on the start of his routes and you could tell has the route creativity to utilize his change of direction on his breaks. He als showed that he doesn't need a big window to succeed in higher traffic areas. Another 2027 prospect I'll be intrigued to see how he grows that upside in the coming years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489377' first='Jackson' last='Coss'], WR, Buffalo 2026 Twitter

Jackson was a 2026 wide receiver that after reviewing my notebook after our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase caught my attention a couple times, which is always a good sign at a camp that brought over 230+ athletes to the Park Center Dome. He showed off a wide receiver that is still developing from a speed perspective, but he ran a 4.39 pro agility and 7.09 at nearly 6'2 205 pounds which is intriguing for this Buffalo Bison wide out. He also showed consistent prouduction in the Indy session showing off a route-runner that with his length, athleticism and hands showed off a sound grade from my live eval. It's clear to me I need to get right up the road down to Buffalo and watch more reps out of this kid next fall as he was intriguing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1120548' first='Johnny' last='Laugerman'], WR, Two Rivers 2026 Twitter

Johnny was a wide receiver that showed off excellent footwork from what I caught midway thru the second session of our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase. And the testing numbers I saw didn't lie about what I saw either, as Johny was fluid across testing, 4.72 in the 40 yard dash, 4.44 pro agility, and 7.38 in the L-drill. Johnny is a wide receiver that I really like the well noted speed and agility that he gets on the second level of the field which showed off as a match from tape to live eval after peaking at his tape pre-showcase while also getting sound separation for his 5'9 165 pound frame for his size. He might be an undersized wide receiver, but the analytical mind I have, showed you that in Week 1-9 in the 2024 seasonn that this young man is a touchdown machine when he catches the open field finding the ending just under every 2.5 catches (30 catches/12 touchdowns). I surely like his shot at the next level for sure.

[player_tooltip player_id='1120526' first='Cody' last='Braun'], WR, Minnetonka 2027 Twitter

Cody was a wide receiver that caught my attention during early testing at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase and from conversations with the college coaches in attendance, they too were intrigued with 2027 wide receiver out of Minnetonka. At 6'0 175 pounds, he was another prospect that came in with honest measurables from pre-showcase to showcase and logged a 4.75 40 yard dash and a catchy 7.19 in the L-Drill. Cody also showed off that he could work in tight windows when I watched him later at our showcase as a route runner that peaked with his agility further on his breaks as a wide receiver that I feel plays bigger than those measurables might show you off. Although he shows off JV reps from last year's tape, I like this young man's upside brewing in the receiving core of the Minnetonka Skippers.
