NEGC Sophomore/Freshman Game: Defensive Standouts

The event brought together some of the top emerging players in the Metro Atlanta Area. The 6'3 215 freshman was almost unblockable off the edge with a great first step and quickness to out maneuver bigger OL. Was a constant presence in the backfield. He had 6TT PBU a sack and 6 QBH on the day to take my personal MVP of the event. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook:</strong> Fulton produced on the field as a freshman at the Varsity level this Fall recording 68 TT with 13 TFL and 5 sacks against some of the best 5A competition. The 6'2 230 sophomore has a solid squared off frame that moves around like a LB. He has good recognition and was probably the most violent tackler at the event, played with a chip on his shoulder. Deceptive speed for his size and did a good job in backfield pursuit coming up with a sack and several QBH's. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700"><strong>Outlook</strong>: I was interested enough to go watch his clips from the Fall. A bull rusher at that level, just over powering whoever is in front of him. He showed the same physical tackling ability during the season. Outstanding cover guy that got to show his speed with a 100 yard interception return for a TD. Physical DB who has got stronger since we last saw him and does a good job in run support. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook:</strong> Already with a Austin Peay offer, Estrada has a bright future ahead at the high school level as he develops. Has the natural size and athleticism to develop into a next level recruit. A highly competitive kid that brings a lot of energy to the field. He made a couple of nice open field tackles and had a interception from his LB spot that was returned for a 70 yard TD only to be called back on a penalty away from the play. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook:</strong> Nunn has a good frame and is just now starting to fill out and add size. Has good natural instincts and puts the work in off the field. Already ranked a Top 5 DB in the 2027 Class has several offers including Georgia Tech. Great frame at 6'1 175 and covers a lot of ground in secondary. The QBs tried to stay away from him as much as they could on Sunday but the one time they threw at him he made an acrobatic interception to end a scoring drive. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook:</strong> Elzey is already a P4 recruit and will be a National recruit before his time in high school is done. The 6'0 180 freshman LB was a tackling machine and showed some good instincts and finished the game with 9 TT and a sack. He was a starter this Fall at the varsity level and had a productive season 95 TT and 15 TFL for the Falcons. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook:</strong> Garrison has good size for a freshman and plays at a level beyond his years. He should be a 2-way player in his career with the Falcons and will have 4 years varsity starting experience. With his productivity and natural talent he will garner attention at the next level.
