Ga Elite Classic: Sophomore Offense Stat Leaders

A loaded sophomore squad came away with a resounding 70-7 win. He caught 5 passes for 130 yards and scored 4 TDs in the 70-7 win over the freshman. Standifer is coming off a stellar sophomore season at Athens Academy where he was named the 8-A D1 POY after putting up 1700 all purpose yards and scoring 21 TDs. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook:</strong> I knew he was special when I saw him live at last years Redzone Showcase. He led the sophomores in rushing with 6 carries for 142 yards and a TD. Glover weaved in and out of traffic on a long TD run earning "Most Electric Play of the Game". The 5'9 185 RB has a good solid frame for running between the tackles and the speed to get to the corners. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook</strong>: Interesting prospect that is getting ready to break onto the scene. Showed some of the best change of pace running that I have seen this year, especially in traffic. He had 665 all purpose yards this season at the varsity level and will be a big part of the Veteran offense over the next 2 seasons. Britt had a very productive 3 catches for 80 yards in the 70-7 win. He is coming off a productive sophomore season at Newnan where he lead the team in receptions and receiving yards. Over the last 3 weeks of the season he caught fire with 16 receptions for 247 yards. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook:</strong> Not the tallest WR you will see but Britt gets it done with good route running. He is quick off the LOS and "Twitchy" creating separation from the defender. Excellent ball skills and makes good adjustments with the ball in the air. Had over 51 catches this season as a sophomore.
