Championship Week: Game MVPs

The junior standout 1st caught our staffs eye last season after rushing for over 1000 yards as a sophomore. He has outstanding burst and acceleration and explodes through the LOS, tough to catch once he gets to the 2nd level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700"><strong>Outlook:</strong> Caldwell continues to show he can perform vs elite competition week in and week out. The senior ran for 130 yards on 19 carries and scored on a 47 yard TD in helping the Red Devil 3-Peat as Champions with a 34-14 win over Brooks Co. A track star in the Spring that has a chance at eclipsing the 11.00 mark in the 100m this year. He led the team in rushing this Fall with over 1200 yards and averaged over 9 ypc. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook</strong>: Bhony received his 1st official offer this week from Reinhardt after his Championship performance. He filled out the stat sheet in all the categories with 5 catches for 103 yards and a score and returned a kickoff for a 92-yd TD to help Toombs secure their 1st ever State Title with a 38-18 win over Northeast Macon. Mungin was very efficient completing 19 of 20 passes for 327 yards and 4 TDs leading Carver to a 52-14 win over Burke County. The dual threat QB added 26 yards 6 carries. Good arm strength and has great poise in the pocket and he has good down field vision under pressure. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700"><strong>Outlook:</strong> Great athlete with tons of upside that still has plenty of room to add good weight. He went 11 of 18 for 111 yards and had 5 carries for 45 yards and a score to help lead the Jackets to a 17-7 win over Jefferson. Hawkins has poise in the pocket beyond his years and does a great job managing the game with good decision making skills. He throws a good ball with high velocity and low trajectory.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Outlook:</strong> Hawkins was already on a few D1 radars coming into the week and earned a spot on a lot more after his performance. Brooks caught 4 passes for 52 yards and a score and lead North Oconee on the defensive side of the ball with 8 TT 2 sacks and 2.5 TFLs. Great size and athleticism that almost unblockable at times. He has soft hands at the TE spot and is hard to bring down with the ball in his hands.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Outlook:</em></strong> Already a National recruit, Brooks will be able to pick his destination when the time comes.
