All State Accolades KS Specialists: 6A

Today we will be highlighting the 5A &amp; 6A Specialists who made the list who made an impact for their team during the 2024 season. Yusef went 10/15 on Field Goals this year for the Firebirds, while going 100% on PATs. Yusef showcased how deadly of a weapon his leg can be in the Kickoff phase of the game by putting up 41 touchbacks this year. Yusef is wanting to play in college somewhere next year and is eyeing to play at the highest level possible. Mason showcased tremendous power when trying to flip the field, but also control of the ball when trying to pin the opponent inside the 20 yard line. As a Punter you must be able to be powerful and also have control of your punts when trying to pin the opponent. Colin finished the year 5/8 on FG's (2 blocked), 42/44 on PATs, with 15 Touchbacks on Kickoff. Colin showcased during the whole season tremendous control and power while kicking. At times when the defenders would make their way through the line of the FG team, Colin showed great composure of staying with the kick. On Punts he averaged 37.3 yards per punt with a long of 73 yards. He stayed busy this year punting the ball 50 times. He averaged an outstanding 42.5 yards with a long of 88 yards. He showed his athleticism many times by jumping sky high in the air catching snaps then bombing the ball away into enemy territory. The Senior was able to take a greatly developed drop and turn it into good for him.
