Coming from the Liberty Divisions, we have a host of juniors that deserve some recognition. The players on this list may have been less known at the beginning of the 2024 season, but after this past fall, they have risen on the lists and are all in a good position to elevate their status this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='402217' first='Jasiah' last='Brown'] is a player I have been hyping up since last spring, and now it seems others are starting to recognize the talent Jasiah is equipped with. As a quarterback, it's very easy to move the ball down the field when you have a receiver like Jasiah running underneath it.

Jasiah shined any time he got the chance to show off his linear speed. Whether it was a deep vertical route or a quick screen behind the line, once Jasiah had a clear path in front of him he was able to kick it to a second gear and torch defenders. What was impressive to see out of Morristown in 2024 was how much their quarterbacks, Weston Elms and [player_tooltip player_id='402215' first='James' last='Dzikowski'], trusted Jasiah as a downfield target. Often the QB would launch the ball downfield before Jasiah started looking back for it, knowing he would outrun the defensive back for the ball. He did this game after game as he turned 25 catches into 611 yards and 6 touchdowns. I really think Jasiah will gain some more traction this offseason, as teams are missing out on one of the better receiver weapons New Jersey has to offer.

Out of all of the players in the state, [player_tooltip player_id='1546513' first='Casey' last='Grusser'] elevated himself more than any other. Knocking down one great opponent after the other, Casey stepped into the lead role on offense and delivered an 8 win season and a section title for Ramapo. Casey is the ultimate duel threat quarterback. Not only do defenses need to pay attention to how well Casey can pick apart a secondary, but they constantly need to shadow him or he will take off and run with it.

Casey has everything you're looking for in a signal caller. A strong, accurate thrower, Casey can make quick reads and deliver strikes all across the field. Casey did it all season long, as he threw for 2267 yards and 17 touchdowns. What really stands out the most is Casey's pocket presence and awareness of pressure closing in on him. His foot work in the pocket allowed him to evade the pass rush and eventually take off with it to the outside where he can then hit his receiver on the run or take off with it. Casey can truly make a play out of nothing, which he proved by scrambling when needed and rushing for 685 yards and 8 touchdowns this season.

Now we have to focus on the receiving side of [player_tooltip player_id='1546513' first='Casey' last='Grusser']'s throws, which is star receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1552333' first='Salvatore' last='Livoti']. Casey's favorite target this season, Salvatore brought in 49 catches for 658 yards and 6 touchdowns. A sneaky fast receiver, Sal gets off of the line quickly, often catching the DB off guard and running into the open field unguarded. Sal proved to be a reliable downfield target, as he brought the ball in with great tracking skills, strong hands, and dialed in concentration. Even if the DBs were glued tight to Sal, he was able to compete for the ball in traffic and reel it from afar to secure the catch. This 1-2 combo of Casey and Sal is going to devastate defenses next season.

A poised pocket passer, [player_tooltip player_id='1515098' first='Danny' last='Ferrauilo'] impressed as the starter for Wayne Valley in 2024. Leading his squad to a 6-4 record, Danny showed that Wayne Valley's aerial assault is no joke, and will only get better over the offseason. Tossing 2229 yards and 14 touchdowns this fall, Danny demonstrated that he has all of the qualities you are looking for in a QB1, as his arm skills and intelligence sets him apart from a lot of the competition.

While Danny has impressed with his arm strength, he's also shown the ability to deliver the ball with the right amount of touch to get it over the backers, or zip it into a tight window before a defender can react. As a thrower, Danny's throwing technique is crisp as he gets his whole body into the throw to get the ball where it needs to be. On top of it all, Danny's accuracy gives him the ability to place the ball right out of reach of a defender and hit his man in stride.

After breaking down [player_tooltip player_id='1567353' first='Brian' last='Brancato']'s film, it's safe to say Hackensack can look forward to success in 2025. Leading his team to a 5-5 record, Brian showed a lot of promise with his play making capabilities and ability to extend the play. He may be undersized for the position, but that doesn't stop Brian's productivity. Another strong arm QB from the Liberty Divisions, Brian can get a ton of power behind the pass and place the ball anywhere deep downfield. While his arm strength is one of his greatest attributes, what is just as impressive is his peripheral awareness in the pocket and ability to slide and avoid the sack. Once he evades the rush, he can then either scramble to keep the play alive or square up his shoulders to deliver accurate throws on the run. Brian is one of those QBs that can throw from unorthodox positions too. The play is never dead as long as the ball is in Brian's hands.
