[player_tooltip player_id='216863' first='Anquon' last='Fegans'] dominated the 7A every year he was a starter at Thompson- it's incredibly impressive what he's accomplished at the high school level, and he's only just getting started. Fegans is a dynamic safety that can make tons of huge plays both attacking the run and defending against the pass. Fegans is highly athletic and plays with a ton of speed and instincts to fly around the field and make plays from sideline to sideline, in the backfield, and deep downfield. Fegans does a great job using his hands to make plays on the ball, he frequently can jar the ball free and pick off passes no matter who he's going against. It's impressive watching his tackling abilities as well, he does a great job wrapping up and delivering big hits to the ball carrier, never allowing them to get past him. It was easy seeing all of this on tape this fall, he ended the season with 81 total tackles (56 solo, 9 for loss), 6 interceptions, 7 pass breakups, and two forced/recovered fumbles. Watch out for Fegans at Auburn next fall, it's been an absolute privilege watching him play these last few years, he's a special talent!

[player_tooltip player_id='1014928' first='Justin' last='Godwin'] has been a really reliable DB for Wetumpka, especially this past season- he has been highly productive against some talented offenses across the 6A and shows a ton of potential. Godwin is really athletic and versatile in their secondary- he plays with great speed, is great at identifying plays, plays with a lot of physicality by delivering big hits, and can break on the ball to make some fantastic plays in coverage as well. It doesn't matter where Godwin starts the play, he finds ways to make an impact every snap regardless if its a run or pass. Godwin had a massive senior season this fall- he ended up recording 119 total tackles (70 solo, 7 for loss), 2 sacks, 7 interceptions, 21 pass breakups, and 5 forced fumbles (2 recovered) on the year. Watch out for Godwin at the next level, he picked up offers from Georgia State, Samford, West Alabama, and more- no matter where he ends up, he's going to be a playmaker!

[player_tooltip player_id='1348489' first='Jamari' last='Johnson'] is a really talented DB out of Pell City that we first laid eyes on this summer, and man, he had a phenomenal senior season for his defense. Johnson is super dependable in coverage- he uses his size and speed to consistently wear down and lock up wide receivers. It's really impressive watching Johnson make plays on the ball- he does a great job using his hands to pick off and jar passes free. In addition to his coverage abilities, Johnson does a great job in run support. He doesn't shy away from contact, does a great job tracking and pursuing after the ball carrier, and can deliver some devastating hits as well. Throughout this fall, Johnson recorded 23 total tackles (18 solo, one for loss) on the year- consistently making plays against some talented opponents. Be sure to watch Johnson at the next level, he's going to be an instant playmaker for Cincinnati when he gets on campus!

[player_tooltip player_id='401109' first='Jamarrion' last='Gordon'] is a junior defensive back out of Jackson who has been extremely productive for his defense the last few seasons. Gordon has dominated offenses across the 4A since he was a freshman, he has a versatile skill set that will allow him to have a long career at the position. Standing at 6'1 160, Gordon has great size that allows him to press pass catchers at the line of scrimmage, disrupt routes and limit separation on almost every single play. Gordon's ball skills are also a major part of his game- he has a great set of hands he uses to high-point the ball and contest passes, which often leads him to huge interceptions and pass breakups. Gordon is also a reliable run defender- he's not afraid to step up and make tackles in the open field and behind the line of scrimmage. Gordon had another great season this fall, ending the year with 39 total tackles (29 solo, 4 for loss), one sack, 3 interceptions, and 4 pass breakups. Be sure to watch out for Gordon next fall, he's got a ton of talent and is set for a huge senior year!

[player_tooltip player_id='741065' first='Jotavion' last='Pierce'] is a talented safety prospect out of Montgomery Catholic who has had no trouble making plays against 3A offenses the last few seasons. Throughout his senior year, Pierce continued his dominance and had a massive season this fall that separated him as one of the top DBs in the state. Pierce is a tackling machine, he has excellent technique and does a terrific job tracking and wrapping up the ball carrier no matter where he lines up pre-snap. It's really impressive watching the effort he plays with- he consistently gets involved on every play regardless of what the opposing offense is running. Pierce is also a tough DB to throw against, he provides a ton of security deep downfield, isn't beat easily, and consistently uses his hands to force incompletions/interceptions. Pierce had a huge season for Montgomery Catholic this fall- he ended the year with 76 total tackles (45 solo, 4 for loss), 8 interceptions, 9 pass breakups, and one forced/recovered fumble. Pierce just recently signed with Oklahoma State last week- be sure to keep track of him out in Stillwater, he's sure to make some huge plays!

[player_tooltip player_id='1590137' first='Tae' last='Martin'] has been incredibly reliable for Reeltown's secondary the last few years- what he's been able to do in the 2A has been super impressive, consistently locking up and making plays on some prolific passing attacks across the state. Martin is a physical DB who plays with a ton of speed, quickness, and instincts out in the secondary- Martin always finds himself near the ball, has great hands, and can make game-changing plays in an instant. Martin impresses me the most out in coverage- he matches up well with a wide variety of WR types and can make plays equally well in man and zone. All of this showed up on tape this season, Martin ended the year with 102 total tackles (80 solo, 7.5 for loss), 8 interceptions, and three fumble recoveries. Martin is a really talented player with a ton of potential as a playmaker on both sides of the ball- coaches, be sure to watch him, you don't want to miss out on a player like this!

[player_tooltip player_id='1585506' first='Kade' last='Carroll'] is a sophomore out of South Choctaw who had a massive season for his team this fall. Carroll, a two-way player, has been an excellent defensive back for his team's secondary, making tons of huge plays all season long. At 6'1 170, Carroll is a ball hawk that can fly around the field to cover just about anyone. Carroll has excellent ball skills out in coverage, he has great hands, can break up passes, and is terrific at baiting quarterbacks into interceptions. Carroll has also demonstrated some really good abilities as a tackler, he's a complete defensive back with plenty to offer. Carroll had a big season this fall where he recorded 51 total tackles and a jaw-dropping 13 interceptions on the season. Be sure to watch out for Carroll this next year, he's set up for a huge junior season!
