The Scoop: Recruting Activities, New Name Tips 11/1/2024

The Scoop report is a college coach report emailed directly to my Exclusive list of “Scouting New England—College Coaches Group” biweekly. It is meant to bring “immediate light and attention” to any prospect listed in the report for evaluation purposes by college programs.   I encourage all parents, fans, and coaches to continue sending tips on rising student-athletes from the New England region. This action assists the regional scouts in learning more about prospects and also updates us on any current recruitment activities within the region. He is shifty. He has very good pocket awareness. His accuracy is very good. Has good arm strength distance. I've seen him live at showcases, and his mechanics are crisp. He can make all the college throws and always wants to learn more when coached. He is having an outstanding season. During a game on the week of September 28, 2024, he went 15/22 ATT| 279 YDS | 3TDs, including 38/34-yd strikes. His ability to escape the pocket when needed is standing out this season. Lukas is only a sophomore, but he already shows the leadership, decision-making, and accuracy you'd expect from a senior QB.    <a href="https://t.co/H0ODx89PhB" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank"></a>     2026 [player_tooltip player_id='385352' first='Chris' last='Oswitt'] is a 6'4 265 Offensive lineman from Williston North Hampton in Massachusetts. On October 18, 2024 he announced his 1st Division 1 FBS offer from Umass. His mid-season film displays his special skills including his ability to get to the 2nd level. He plays with a bit of nastiness and good power block; He uses very good pad level and leverage. He can move in space and gets both cleats down at pre-snap.      [player_tooltip player_id='1538887' first='Xavier' last='Hazard'] is a 6'2 "185 WR from Middlesex School in Massachusetts. Hazard is identified as a top basketball prospect who has now taken a very high interest in playing football at the next level. I saw him play in live game action in mid-October 2024. Hazard frame immediately attracts. He is lean and muscular and has obvious length in his arms and legs. His athletic coordination and fluidity are highly visible. He made several catches during the game that displayed his mismatch potential. High tops the ball and will likely win the 50/50 battles. He also displayed very good natural coverage skills for an undeveloped player. He has next-level speed and quickness. He is tough to bring down after the catch. Hazard is a Div 1 athlete who will fit nicely in a program that can develop receivers.        [player_tooltip player_id='570035' first='Matthew' last='Tybor'] is a verified 6'5 235 Tight-end/ Def-end with an outstanding season. His mid-season film was a pleasure to view. The 2nd clip in his reel has him reeling in a 1 handed catch that displays his freakish athletic coordination. He has soft hands and plays with a purpose. He can get to the 2nd level and play with some nastiness. His defensive skills are also impressive. His get-off (first step quickness) pops on film. He has a very good pass rush with a low pad level and good hand technique to beat his blocker and make a play on the QB. He is strong at the point of attack. He is a Div 1 prospect.      [player_tooltip player_id='617715' first='Samuel' last='Morales'] is a 6'4 275 OL/DL who attends Milton Academy in Massachusetts. Samuel missed the 2023 season due to an injury. Morales was previously ranked as the # 7 OL in New England before he was injured in 2023. This season he has returned and is playing at a high level again. Due to his injury and lack of tape, Morales may have slipped away from some top school recruiting boards, but he should attract many schools this season and before signing day now that he has a full season. a film. He is a strong character prospect.      [player_tooltip player_id='1542880' first='Ramar' last='Thomas'] is a rising freshman QB who attends Catholic Memorial in Massachusetts. Ramar is a talented QB who stands 6'3, 180 lbs. Ramar had seen some varsity action due to the next-man-up mentality when his senior QB teammate went down with an injury, and his name was called to fill the services. He has also seen additional varsity time late in games when victory situations have been identified. I saw him play live last week versus a top opponent, and he is surely advanced in confidence and skills. He can escape the pocket when needed. He can accurately make the out throw from the pocket and on the run. He is a bit raw and will be a developmental prospect in a program that can develop prospects for high college-level play. The tools are there, and he appears to be a special talent to keep a close eye on moving forward.      [player_tooltip player_id='1250190' first='Jackson' last='Kilburg'] is a 6‘3“ 220” quarterback who attends Kent School in Connecticut. He is great in size, has strong arms, and is athletic. He is having a brilliant senior campaign. He has thrown for 1434 yards in six games and rushed for 381 yards, 18 total touchdowns. He displays big-time arm strength and the ability to run for plus yardage.⁦ Kilburg can make all the college throws with ease. He can make many throws while on the run and with accuracy. He is a D1 Prospect who has offers from Wofford, Tennessee State, and Murray State.      [player_tooltip player_id='1319762' first='Gavin' last='Barth'] is 6'3 185 WR who attends Boston College High School in Massachusetts. I was impressed by his play in a live game I attended two weeks ago. He is a very athletic, fluid athlete who can execute crisp routes. His large frame pops and he loves to go up for the 50/50 balls. His mid-season totals were 16 receptions, 411 yards, and 3 TDs, with a YPC of 25.7. On October 29, 2024, the receiver received a solid offer from D-2 Bentley College. Barth's size alone will likely draw additional attention from other college programs. This will likely happen after the season, before signing day, and before he makes his final decision. Strong prospect.
