Recruiting Report- Recent Offers Across the State

Garrett is an explosive EDGE who flies around the field and consistently makes plays behind the line of scrimmage. Garrett has a terrific first step, plays with great strength and speed, and does an excellent job pursuing after quarterbacks/the ball carrier every time he takes the field. It doesn't matter if he's rushing the passer or setting the edge against the run, Garrett consistently does his job at a high level and makes it look effortless. Throughout this season, Garrett has racked up 91 total tackles (9.5 for loss), 1.5 sacks, 5 hurries, and one interception on the year. With how well he's played the last few seasons, Garrett has already been a top prospect in the recruiting world- a few months ago he committed to Auburn. That being said, he just picked up an offer from Vanderbilt- which could mix things up when you consider how well the Commodores have been playing this season. He's had a terrific junior season, making a ton of jaw-dropping catches/plays each week, and shows no signs of slowing down. Hampton is a big, physical target- he does a great job using his 6'3 215 frame to his advantage against smaller defensive backs by winning the line of scrimmage, and overpowering defenders for catches all over the field. Paired with his size, Hampton has great speed and change of direction that allows him to do some damage after the catch. It's seriously hard for defenders to stop him, he takes on contact really well and isn't easily tackled in the open field. With how well he's played this season, Hampton has seen recruitment start to open up. Just in the last few weeks, Hampton has picked up offers from Arkansas State, Liberty, and Tulane! Twyman is an impact playmaker for his team's defense- he plays with fantastic speed and a ton of effort, never gives up big plays, and is always in a position to make an impact on the field. Twyman also isn't afraid of getting involved against the run- he does a great job pursuing the ball carrier and can dish out some big hits/make tackles in the open field and down near the line of scrimmage as well. It's been really impressive watching Twyman this season, he's locked up some seriously talented wide receivers all around the state and has consistently been one of the most reliable coverage players in his team's secondary. With how well he's played it's no wonder why schools have been sending offers his way. Over the last few weeks, Twyman has picked up offers from Mount St. Joseph, Minnesota North College, Point University, and many others. Elston, a massive offensive tackle, has played incredibly well this year and has a bright future ahead of him. As a sophomore Elston stands at 6'6 310, and is a huge obstacle for defensive linemen to overcome- he makes a huge impact in the trenches as a run blocker and in pass protection. It's really impressive watching Elston move from level to level to open up wide lanes for the ball carrier to maneuver through- on tape you can watch him completely pancake defenders at the line of scrimmage and in the open field on a routine basis. In pass protection, Elston does a great job anchoring his side of the line and not allowing for any edge rushers to pressure or collapse the pocket. Elston has shown great potential this fall, which is why he just picked up his first offer from North Alabama this week. Jackson is a terrific defensive lineman who has been super reliable at both defensive tackle and nose guard the last few seasons. Standing at 6'3 320, Jackson is a massive lineman who completely wears down the offensive linemen across from him. Jackson uses his size, strength, and power to consistently make plays against the run. He does a great job anchoring himself on the line of scrimmage, clogs up running lanes, and is a dependable tackler who doesn't allow the ball carrier into the open field. Jackson also moves well at his size- despite being as huge as he is he can pursue after the ball carrier, has a great motor, and overall plays with a ton of effort every snap. With how well he has played for Auburn this season, Jackson has seen his recruitment heat up. Just a week or so ago he picked up an offer from Appalachian State- and he's only going to see more head his way.
