I was very excited to see what the Griffins would do this season after a promising year one for the program and they did a great job delivering on expectations. Starting QB [player_tooltip player_id='1075673' first='Chase' last='Grow'] enjoyed a very productive sophomore season, throwing for 1,830 yards and 21 touchdowns with a QBR of 110.4. Throughout the year he flashed a skill set that looked beyond his age as he made great reads and throws on a consistent basis. Grow showed that he can fit the ball into tight windows and can layer his throws over defenders to drop the ball right in his receiver's hands. Good touch on his passes. Grow also showed that he can make plays with his legs by rushing for 282 yards and four touchdowns. What's impressive about his running ability is that Chase is not just picking up small chunks here and there, no, he's flat out racing past defenders for massive gains. Underrated speed. Big time riser in the ‘27 cycle!

Omaha North DB [player_tooltip player_id='547140' first='Re'Aire' last='Washington'] got thrown into the fire early this season as they opened against Westside and their plethora of weapons. However, the young DB never flinched and only continued to improve week in and week out. The stats don't tell the whole story for Washington, but he still managed to post a solid 21 tackles on the season. Washington is very smooth in transition with fluid, loose hips and quick footwork. He's very instinctive with the ability to break on the ball on a dime. Re'Aire plays with a physical edge that you like to see from your cornerbacks. He keeps his hands active when looking to break up catches and is not afraid to step up to make a tackle. Lots of upside here!

Although the season didn't end exactly how Hanke and the Bison wanted it, they can still say they had a tremendous year. Turner broke out in a huge way as he hauled in 41 catches for 625 yards and 13 touchdowns while also racking up 53 tackles, 10 TFLs, five sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Turner is a player who passes the eye test immediately with a 6'2”, 195-pound frame and has the speed and athleticism to go with it. Turner projects to either side of the ball very well with upside as a receiver or outside linebacker. His tall, lengthy frame helps him attack the ball at the high point and elevate over defenders on jump balls. Turner does a great job turning up field with a nice burst to pick up extra yardage after the catch. His athleticism also allows him to flow on defense, as he can rush the passer, defend the run, and drop back into coverage with ease. It looks like some schools have started showing interest in Turner so it could be a matter of time before some offers start rolling in.

Already one of the more interesting players in the class, Hastings St Celilia's [player_tooltip player_id='1192531' first='Andrej' last='Sabatka'] continues to impress in year 2. During his sophomore campaign, Sabatka recorded 61 tackles, 9 TFLs, two sacks, and a fumble recovery. Sabatka started as a OL/DL prospect but this season he also flashed his elite athleticism by moving over to tight end and catching 26 receptions for 268 yards and two receiving touchdowns. At 6'5” and 240 pounds, it seems like no matter where you put him, Andrej will find a way to excel. Defensively, Andrej does an excellent job using his lengthy frame and explosiveness to create separation at the line of scrimmage before ripping through to penetrate into the backfield. He has a great motor that keeps him grinding through the whistle. On offense, there is a lot of potential as a tight end or a really athletic OL. Hoping to get some more of Sabatka's junior tape soon!

Here's another prospect with tons of upside on the offensive and defensive line. Lincoln Southwest's [player_tooltip player_id='1085092' first='Maclain' last='Milius'] has been starting since his freshman season and seems to have taken a big leap in his development. On the defensive side, Maclain recorded 31 tackles, 7 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. He flashes a ton of upside on this side of the ball with his ability to fire off the ball and be disruptive at the line of scrimmage. Milius does an excellent job using violent hands to disengage from linemen and tracks the ball in the backfield very well. He has a strong lower body that helps him stack blockers without giving up much ground. Milius has a lengthy, athletic build at 6'4” and 215 pounds, with room to keep building his frame.
