A shorter back with a physical, compact frame, this speedy back knows how to make defenders miss in the open field and has enough speed to out-run defenders when there's room to run. He shows impressive vision, acceleration, and has been one of the more productive senior running backs in West Georgia this fall. The playmaking senior has run for an impressive 1,650 yards this season with an eye-opening 10.25 yards per carry. He's a big-play back who has run wild this fall and is coming off a big week one win over Lumpkin County where he ran for over 200 yards. Render-Fannin and LaGrange will face Sandy Creek in round two on Friday night.

A sophomore back with plenty of size, speed, and big-play ability, Johnson is a quick-footed, balanced runner with vision, burst, and reliable hands out of the backfield. He's a weapon who can help the offense in a number of ways and showed he's one of the best running backs in the Atlanta area this fall. He sure didn't run like a sophomore, taking off for an impressive 1,284 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. He ran for at least 130 yards in six games this season, rushing for at least 80 yards in every game but one. He was an easy addition to the 2027 Prep Redzone rankings and will lead his Jaguars team against Jenkins in the second round.

One of the very best running backs across the South for the 2016 class, Latimer has an outstanding combination of size, quickness, toughness, and natural big-play ability. He's agile and has enough speed to score whenever he has the ball, but he's not afraid of contact. He runs hard, runs with authority, and consistently breaks tackles for four quarters. He's tough to tackle and is having a tremendous junior season, rushing for 1,083 yards and 15 touchdowns so far. He's averaging 8.5 yards per carry and hit the 100-yard mark in six of his nine games. He's one of the best backs in Georgia and will try to run through Lagrange this weekend in the second round.

A versatile back with impressive speed from Milledgeville, Salahuddin is a weapon who can make plays both out of the backfield and in the return game on special teams. He sees the field well, can change directions quickly, and is hoping to keep up his high-caliber play in round two this weekend against a tough Peach County team. This impressive junior has rushed for 976 yards so far this season to go along with 13 touchdowns. Over the last two games, this fast-rising Middle Georgia back has rushed for 216 yards and four touchdowns. He's running hard and is hoping to keep his giant 2024 season alive this weekend.

One of the more productive running backs in the Athens area for the 2026 class, Wood is a dependable runner who runs with authority and gives it everything he has with every carry. He brought the ability to take over games, rushing for 179, 181, and 172 yards in three different games this fall. In total, this promising senior has rushed for 865 yards and 10 touchdowns with a giant second-round matchup coming this weekend against Jefferson. Look for Wood to be at his very best with the season on the line.
