One of the best backs in the Atlanta area regardless of class, Lindley was a tackle-breaking machine this year as a junior, rushing for an impressive 1,073 yards and 14 touchdowns through his first 10 games. He runs with aggression, behind his bads, and shows tremendous balance after initial contact. He's hard to wrap up and shows deceptive speed for someone 200+ pounds. He's a D1-caliber back and one of the most productive backs this season across the state in the 6A class. Lindley and Douglas County will take on a strong Mill Creek team in the first round.

A smaller, explosive back out of Forsyth County, Laban is a quick back with outstanding breakaway speed when there's room to run. He brings game-changing speed to the table and gave the Danes a versatile, electric option out of the backfield. This impressive junior ran for an impressive 942 yards during the regular season with 10 touchdowns, averaging 6.7 yards per carry. He rushed for at least 100 yards in four games this season with his best game coming against Sequoyah where he ran for 263 yards and four touchdowns. He'll be a major running back to know next year as a senior.

A dynamic runner who can line up a either quarterback or running back, Butler is a speedy, elusive runner with plenty of breakaway speed. He shows good vision, burst, and the ability to escape from defenders down the field. His size may not blow anyone away, but his speed and playmaking ability certainly did this fall as a junior. This sleeper Gwinnett County running back ran for 834 yards during the regular season with 12 touchdowns, averaging an eye-opening 8 yards per carry. He's a true weapon who should improve even more in the off-season. He's an easy new addition to the 2026 Prep Redzone rankings and will try to run through Hillgrove in the first round this weekend.

One of the state's top overall running backs in the 2026 class, Farmer is a versatile weapon for the mighty Carrollton Trojans coming off a fantastic regular season on the ground. A twitchy, agile back with above-average speed, Farmer knows how to break tackles, move the chains, and put points on the board. This playmaking junior led the Trojans on the ground this season, rushing for 884 yards and 12 touchdowns while catching 28 passes for 312 yards and four more scores. Farmer and the Trojans face Dacula in the first round.

It was a tough year for the Parkview Panthers, but a bright spot this season was the play of their junior running back. Stokes Jr. is a speedy back with burst, impressive change of direction, and enough speed to break off a big run when there's room to run. He's a slippery back who slips through defenders and can be tough to corral in the open field. He played through injuries this season which makes his strong junior year even more impressive. In total, Stokes Jr. ran for 851 yards and six touchdowns this season.
