The first half of the game was close with the half time score being 15-6 in LCA's favor. Jefferson Forest was matching up and forcing LCA to earn the points they had on the board. LCA was also successful in holding long offensive drives by Jefferson Forest to only field goals. He is a bell cow back with elite burst who you can keep handing the ball to throughout the game, and he will eventually break one for a long run. He was managing the game, making the needed throws when called up the offense to hand the ball off to [player_tooltip player_id='1228323' first='Gideon' last='Davidson']. He does display a strong arm and can throw with accuracy on all levels of the field. He was out there continuing his good defensive play in this game that helped hold Jefferson Forest out of the endzone. At a time when Jefferson Forest was looking to gain some momentum back in the game, they had what started out a nice run that broke to the second level, but Justis had different plans. He excels as a kick returner, and that showed in the game when he had a very nice kick return to mid-field to set up Jefferson Forest's offense. He was dependable when they needed a play and helped keep Jefferson Forest's offense on the field during the first half. He also is the kicker and was responsible for two field goals on the game. Both are showing that they belong on the varsity field and why they are ranked as some of our top offensive linemen in the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/virginia/rankings/2027-rankings/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">class of 2027</a>. They show power, can bend, and drive defenders out of the gap. They have versatility as well, and I would not be shocked to see them playing different positions along the offensive line over the next two seasons.
