The state's #1 prospect in the 2025 class has had nothing short of a stellar career. He's improved every year and proved to have elite versatility. On Friday night, Zackery had 129 yards and 2 TDs through the air, 7 tackles, 2 interceptions, and a pass deflection as Ben Davis won against Pike.

You rarely get to watch someone have a perfect game, unless you're Jared Goff in 2024, or Bonner on Friday night. Bonner completed all 15 of his attempts for 279 yards and a TD pass. The game was practically over at halftime as well, which is why he didn't keep going. With a 35-7 lead at the half, everyone got work for Hanover Central on Friday.

While Friday night may not have been Weyrich's biggest game in yardage total, he was key for Plainfield as he has been his entire career. His development has been some of my favorite to watch as I remember meeting him as a freshman. He's come a long way, developed his frame, and come a long way. Weyrich only got 5 carries on Friday but scored on 3 of them and on the year has 900 yards and 18 TDs while averaging 6 yards per carry.

The Knox offense goes as Mclaughlin goes, and Friday night the machine was well-oiled. McLaughlin is a decent-sized back who is still getting better. He's got some twitch and more speed than defenders anticipate. He gashed Griffith on Friday night for 222 yards and 3 TDs. This season alone, Mclaughlin has 2400 rushing yards and 37 TDs. Those are not typos.

Conroy was a big factor in Knox's impressive win on Friday. He's an incredibly versatile player who has been on offense, defense, special teams and touched the ball in all 3 phases of the game. Friday night, he rushed for 218 yards and 3 TDs and then added a 52-yard TD reception for his 4th score of the night. Between his teammate and Conroy, the Knox offense had fun at the expense of Griffith.

Lawrence North has been one of the most surprising and fun teams to watch this year and they keep rolling behind the success of the running game with Moore. He's so shifty, has great vision, and can slip out of tackles so often it has to frustrate defenders. He tore up Lawrence Central on Friday for 151 yards and 4 TDs as Lawrence North continues to roll.

Friday night for Merrillville may have just been the Boyd show because the performance that Boyd put up was incredible. He had the game's first 3 TDs early in the first quarter. He started the scoring with a 14-yard TD. He followed that up with a 44-yard punt return for a TD and then rounded it off with a 65-yard rushing TD.
