Dewey was incredible on Friday and helped carry Martinsville to a big win. He carried the rock efficiently and made guys miss so he could pick up big-chunk plays. He carried the ball 34 times and averaged 7 yards per carry. On the night his 234 rushing yards and TD led the game, Martinsville pulled out the win against Reitz, largely due to Dewey's success on the ground.

Although Tri-West came up short on Friday, it wasn't because Sorgi failed his guys. He showed up, arguably had his best game of the year, and showed so much potential you can't help but get excited. The son of the former NFL QB has all the traits you want. He's confident in the pocket and can deliver a good ball in stride. 21 of 31 for 410 yards and 4 TDs on the night for Sorgi as they fell just short.

Vanpelt did his part on Friday as he lit up the scoreboard. The junior wideout has developed quite a bit over the past few years and is playing his best ball yet. He brought in 9 catches for 185 yards and a hat-trick of touchdowns on Friday. He's a shifty wideout who does a good job finding the soft spot, getting behind the defense, and finding ways to get open. I like Vanpelt and think he's a hidden gem in the slot.

Carter did a little of everything on Friday and helped Decatur Central come through in key moments. His 200 total yards on the night led the game and he did in all phases. Receiving, rushing, punt returns, and kick returning. While he didn't get into the end zone, his ability to make plays in all phases of the game kept Decatur Central on the field at moments which allowed them to score. He had 100 receiving yards, 50 rushing yards, and another 60 total in returns.

It's been a steady year for Lehman as the development and progress has been clear. He's as confident as ever, doesn't hesitate to let the ball go, and found his receivers in stride. Lehman went 21 of 31 for 282 yards and threw for 3 TDs as South Adams got the win. Lehman is the straw that stirs the drink for South Adams and as long as he's playing well, they have a shot.
