This is arguably the most important offseason for the class of 2027. Most of the class has yet to hit Varsity. In fact, most of the players in this article are primarily JV players. I truly believe all six of these prospects have an amazing chance to have an excellent offseason and be great Varsity players in 2025.

There's plenty of reason to believe that Cartwright could be a great Varsity contributor next season. Watching a few highlights from his JV games this season, it's apparent to me that Will is still a raw prospect.

First off, Will is built very well. His 6'3" 215lb frame is quite good for a high school defensive end, thus, he has a pretty high ceiling.

As for skill, Will is able to consistently win against JV tackles, but he's just a step too slow and doesn't yet have a go-to rush move. He's tried a push-pull, swim, and others, but all of his rush moves are currently underdeveloped.

Work hard in the weight room while developing 1-2 great rush moves, and we'll see a great 2025 Varsity season from Will.

Owen seems well on track to be QB1 for Dakota next season.

This season, he went 83/123, 1459 yards, 14TDs, and 3INTs. Stats aren't everything, but those stats paint a great initial picture.

Owen's sophomore tape shows off a lot of his intermediate-deep balls. Throughout all three and a half minutes, you can see dozens of decently accurate balls, most of which catch a WR in stride. For one, I like Owen's accuracy. He isn't perfect, but some throws are quite accurate.

There are plenty of things that Owen can still work on. For one, his mechanics are wildly inconsistent. Throwing mostly from the pocket, Owen sometimes throws off-platform or fails to set his feet even with zero pressure. In addition, Owen needs to show that he can deliver quick passes with better throw power. He looks like a phenomenal JV QB right now, but I expect full-time Varsity to be difficult at first. With a great offseason, Owen could quickly find himself on the numbered rankings!

There's reason to believe that KV could have a major breakout 2025. For one, his (I assume) brother Will is a well-deserved GVSU commit.

Just like Will, KV sports impressive athleticism and has very, very high upside. Plus, KV is a 3-sport athlete and has excellent Track times.

KV doesn't have much tape- just a kick return touchdown from earlier this season. However, knowing that KV is an uber-athletic, he can 100% develop into a GLIAC prospect just like Will.

St. Mary's is in the midst of a very successful season, and I have a feeling they'll be able to accomplish just as much in 2025. Though, they'll have to fill some holes left by several graduating seniors.

Caden has a great opportunity to step into Varsity and succeed. I'm especially impressed with Caden's overall route-running. I watch so many varsity receivers who run extremely poor routes. Caden is already a much better route runner even though he's still a JV player.

Next season, Caden should be able to step into the offense as a starting or rotational slot receiver. He has the athleticism, change of direction, and route-running ability to earn a good target share. As long as Caden has a good offseason and makes sure he keeps drops to a minimum, I fully expect him to be on the numbered rankings.

TyAnthony is a super intriguing prospect from Davison. His current highlights show solid vision and open-field elusiveness from the running back position. His week 7 highlights in particular show a ton of great flashes, juking defenders in tight space, shaking off arm tackles, and working upfield.

I will say that TyAnthony looks a touch slower than the elite elusive backs I've seen. I'd love to see him work on his explosiveness this offseason. Don't skip leg day, keep the offseason work consistent, and TyAnthony has a great shot to be a high-volume Varsity player next season.

Landry is a very intriguing kicking prospect. He fits alongside several other kicking prospects in that he's a (former?) soccer player who took up kicking. Looking at his pinned tweet, I like that Landry is training with an ex NFL kicker. Landry doesn't look extremely polished yet, but if he keeps working, his hard work will pay off.

In order to be recruited, you usually need to have decent success kicking long field goals. I don't know a whole lot about kicking mechanics, so I can't really comment on Landry in that regard.

My non-expert advice would be to keep working, keep improving, and don't skip out on the weight room. I hope that Landry is able to develop into a college kicker!
