Having a good kicker is absolutely game-changing for any high school football program. Literally- it can change the course of several games throughout the season. If Landry is able to increase his range a bit while staying accurate, he’ll be a phenomenal asset for next season. Also, working on punting is extremely valuable as well.

Landry is a very intriguing kicking prospect. He fits alongside several other kicking prospects in that he’s a (former?) soccer player who took up kicking. Looking at his pinned tweet, I like that Landry is training with an ex NFL kicker. Landry doesn’t look extremely polished yet, but if he keeps working, his hard work will pay off.

In order to be recruited, you usually need to have decent success kicking long field goals. I don’t know a whole lot about kicking mechanics, so I can’t really comment on Landry in that regard.

My non-expert advice would be to keep working, keep improving, and don’t skip out on the weight room. I hope that Landry is able to develop into a college kicker!
