He moves well and does a good job blocking linebackers downfield. He has good athleticism and he shows it off blocking downfield. He also has great strength as he is able to overpower defenders. He has good mechanics and footwork in the pocket. He moves well and shows off excellent pocket presence by manipulating the defense when he gets pressure. He is a natural runner of the football. He just glides past defenders when he hits the hole. Then, when he does get contact, he just mauls past defenders. The Penn State commit also has great speed, and when he gets into the open field, he is gone to the end zone. The kid has great athletic ability. His ability to get in and out of his breaks is impressive. His speed and ball skills are also excellent. He looks like a dominant player who can do it all. He is also used in the backfield where he uses his speed and elusiveness to make defenders miss. On defense, he is a ball hawk at defensive back. He also does a great job coming upfield to make tackles in the open field. He has elite speed. He can score anytime he touches the ball. He also has the elusiveness to make defenders miss in space. He took a missed field goal 102 yards to the end zone. He looked like a sprinter going down the sideline. Then he shows a good ability to break tackles. Spell is already committed to Penn State, which is early in the recruiting process, but they are getting a good player. On defense, he has good coverage ability. He does a good job of getting his hands on the ball and breaking up passes. In several clips in his film, I see him going downfield to make blocks. He moves his feet well and constantly stays in front of defenders.
