[player_tooltip player_id='1184990' first='Romeo' last='Washington'] has been a huge piece of Bob Jones's defense the past two seasons, and has been playing especially well this fall. Just this past week, Washington had one of his best performances of the season against Albertville in his team's 42-7 win. Washington is a tackling machine that can defend against the run at a high level. He does a great job fighting off blocks and can work his way through offensive linemen to find and wrap up the ball carrier. It's really impressive watching Washington take over games, he does a terrific job tracking, pursuing, and taking down the ball carrier, regardless of where he lines up pre-snap. It was easy to see this throughout his game against Albertville, Washington was all over the field and ended the game with 16 tackles and a sack. It's been really exciting watching Washington develop, he's having one of his best seasons yet and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Be sure to tune in and watch him throughout the rest of this season!

[player_tooltip player_id='401117' first='Keenan' last='Britt'] has been unstoppable for Oxford's defensive front the last few years, and this season has been no different. Britt is fresh off an unbelievable performance against Clay Chalkville last week where he was a key reason why his team won 21-10. Britt is an extremely well-rounded defensive lineman that completely takes over games- he is a relentless pass rusher who uses a variety of moves to beat offensive linemen to the quarterback and can also defend against the run really well. It showed up greatly this last week in his team's huge matchup against Clay Chalkville, Britt ended the game with a ridiculous 16 tackles (1 for loss) and a sack on the night. It was hard to find a play that Britt didn't have some kind of impact on- he's extremely athletic and plays with a motor that allows him to wreak havoc through all four quarters. It's been awesome getting to watch Britt ball out through his junior year, be sure to tune in and watch him and this Oxford team the rest of the season- they could go on a real postseason run!

[player_tooltip player_id='1046451' first='Braylon' last='Outlaw'] is an explosive EDGE out of Pike Road that has produced at a high level ever since he became a starter in his freshman season. Now a junior, Outlaw has only gotten better and is coming off a terrific performance this last week against Russell County where his team won 46-14. Outlaw is extremely reliable against the run, as a pass rusher, and even in coverage. He plays with a ton of speed, strength, and athleticism that helps him make impact plays no matter what his assignment is- it's really common for Outlaw to take over games and completely wreck what offenses are trying to accomplish. This past week against Russell County, Outlaw did exactly that- ending the game with 11 tackles (one for loss), an interception, and even a touchdown and 2-point conversion on offense as well. Every year Outlaw has started he's become that much harder for teams to stop- it's been awesome watching him develop into the player he is, and he isn't slowing down anytime soon. Be sure to keep an eye on Outlaw and this Pike Road team moving forward, they've got some serious potential for a run this season!

Wallt Myrick is a reliable linebacker out of Wetumpka that has become a key player for his team's defense. Last week, Myrick came up huge in his team's 42-9 win over Park Crossing- he was all over the field, finding ways to make plays in the backfield, force turnovers, and was able to stop the ball carrier in his tracks repeatedly. Myrick plays with a ton of speed and instincts- he flies around the field to make plays, has a great understanding of opposing offenses and what they're doing, and can consistently shed off blocks to make plays in the backfield as well. All of this showed up on tape against Park Crossing, Myrick ended his night with 10 total tackles (3 for loss) 3 sacks, and one forced fumble. It's been really impressive seeing Myrick play this fall- he's come a long way as a player and consistently has made plays all year long. Be sure to tune in throughout the rest of the year and give him a watch- he's bound to keep making plays!
