The Cavemen began OT with a short rushing TD. However, they missed the PAT, which ultimately proved decisive. When the Knights got the ball in the bottom half of the first OT, QB Xavier Perez threw an 11-yard TD pass to Lennis Washington to tie the score. Estevan Belmontes booted the PAT to hand Organ Mountain the close win. The loss spoiled a superb night by Carlsbad QB [player_tooltip player_id='1119650' first='Kason' last='Perez'], who threw for 355 yards and 2 TD.

How explosive was the Cleveland offense? They ran just 20 plays yet scored 7 touchdowns. It was Cleveland's first home game since Week 2 as they played three consecutive road games (Clovis, Las Cruces, El Paso Pebble Hills) and enjoyed a bye during a four-week stretch. The Storm close the regular season with home games against Volcano Vista and rival Rio Rancho. . .Las Cruces battered Clovis, 55-3, in a game that ended early in the third quarter via the mercy rule.
